This place was perfect for a great holiday! It has a nice, big, clean pool, where you can swim and lay down next to it in comfortable sunbeds. Coffee and tea is available every time, and there is a big fridge what you can use if you van. Our room was clean and good condition, the owner was helpful and nice, they have many programs as well what you can try such as surfing, whale watchinng etc, and you can rent scooters if you want.

Perfect holiday place

I don't recommend it, it's better to pay a little more than to be in this disgusting place. be careful with Roy, he's not reliable. for him you're a dollar going. the two people who work, good people, the only good thing to stand out.

It is painful!!!!

My sister and I spent two nights in Riverside cabanas, a short walk to the beach, bus, and all the shops, super nice employees who fulfill almost every wish.

Great location, great staff.

This place has high ratings, because the owner is very stubbornly insisting that he be rated. He stands by and makes sure that the rating is good. In fact, the place is normal, there's nothing very bad. But there's nothing that would be exciting. From the minuses: - The air conditioner doesn't work in the room, but it's so dirty that it's better not to. - We have a very scrubbed fan, it's better not to sleep. - There's one hot tub in the room. - The hot tub is still working WIFI. - We once enjoyed breakfast for 40 minutes, but it didn't work out for us. - We asked the main street 700, he said, Go somewhere else. - We'd like to go to the bathroom, but there's a nice bathroom, and it's not too far away. - We'd like to have a nice shower, but there's a nice bathroom and a nice shower, and it's not too far away.

High ratings

We walked in off the street and ran into Roy the propietor. After a bit of negotiation we settled on a price. Unfortunately, although he accepted our offer, during the entire stay he would constantly remind us of how good a price he gave us, he would try to get money from us in any other possible ways. 
Then - found about this when we left - that he was being very inappropiate towards my girlfriend. Of course always when I wasn’t around. 
And last but not least, obliged us to check out 1 hr before checkout was due. 
NOT RECOMMENDABLE!!!!

Beware

It's a very nice place. It's a very nice area. It's very well maintained and beautiful. There are animals in the area besides the greenery, from iguanas and varans to monkeys. You can also visit the peacocks))) the location itself is very nice, you're close to the shops, cafes and beaches, but in the evening you're free of excessive noise.

My girlfriend and I had a break, we had lunch in this guesthouse, we were very welcomed by the manager Roy and Alla, we had seafood soup, shrimp on the grill, rice with vegetables, everything was very nice.

We stayed at Riverside for 2 nights. the rooms where very clean and comfortable with fully working air con. It has a perfect location with only a 2 minute walk to the beach and local food and shops. Roy and his staff were always helpful and on hand to give good local advise. I would definitely advise a stay at riverside if you are in Mirissa.

Spontaneous trip to Mirissa

Well located close to the center of Mirissa, a peaceful oasis awaits. Very pleasant rooms surrounding a garden with a restaurant.
Amazing Sri Lankan breakfasts!
Most of all, a very warm welcome by Roy, who has plenty of experience in the domain of hospitality! Always available for travel advice or a nice chat.
Highly recommended and definitely a highlight of our trip!!!!

Amazing stay at Riverside Cabanas!

My girlfriend and I stayed at riverside cabanas with 2 friends in a large and confortable 4 people room (2 double beds). The price was good, but what really did for us was the amazing staff. Led by Roy a charming and helpful host, riverside staff were always smiling and helpful. The authentique Sri Lankan breakfast was also the best we had in Sri Lanka!!
