Very nice family. Room with bathroom and hot water. Table with terraced chairs in front of the room door. Super is a great breakfast and if you don 't finish it they give you the box to take it away. Nice and nice person gives you all the information you can. You feel at home. Lovely family Thank you very much.

It's perfect.

That place feels like home. They are so friendly and kind. The place was beautiful and clean. My child was with them like its her family!! The food was tasty and from then we learn about what is really good Sri Lanka food!!! After one month we decided it's a winner. So tasty. Thank you for all.

Like family

I really enjoyed the time with Supul and his Familiy, super nice, really nice conversations, great food and their OWN house is really nice - but after arrival 
he brought me to a different house, because his house was full.

the building itself was new and i was ok with it, but I did not feel safe in any way with the owner of the proberty where this other house was on. As I was travelling alone as a woman, it was really a bad experience when this man was waiting for me in the middle of the night in the garden, weird! 

I would definitely recommend staying at Supuls place - BUT make sure befor you arrive that you stay at HIS main house and not somewhere else - especially when you are travelling on your own! if this would be the case I would cancel it and stay somewhere else.

The Familiy, their house and service is great - BUT be careful with others!

We had a great stay in this guest house: the room was perfect and the family was wonderful. They served us squid in the evening as we wanted and the breakfast was so full that we couldn't finish. This family was extra with us. I can only recommend this address, which is also very close to the beach of Nirissa, beautiful. Thank you again for this welcome.

What a wonderful guesthouse.

We booked this guesthouse here on Booking.com due to the great reviews (2 nights) and were very excited. When we arrived, we were greeted very well with fruitshake and homemade banana bread from the owner's wife. Shortly afterwards, the owner came and told us that we might not be able to spend the first night in the accommodation, as the guests who are currently staying there might want to extend their whale watching excursion (if they weren't available).

Unfortunately disappointing.

Initially booked to stay for two nights but after our first night's stay and breakfast we booked a third night. Host is very friendly, breakfast is huge, beds are comfortable, and there are fans in the room. The garden is beautiful, where they grown a lot of their own fruits and are happy to take you around and show you different plants and animals. 
I would definitely recommend this place. 

Lovely family, fantastic stay, super value for money

As far as the rooms are concerned, nothing to blame: everything was perfect except for the bathrooms which leave a little to be desired... but for the price: everything was acceptable! Only bemoons: the owner... very insisting on selling his excursions, finally cancelling the one they had booked at the last moment, he also forced us to choose his spa.

A mixed opinion

After reading several awesome reviews, three of us decided to stay at the Panorama Guest house for 2 nights! I called the owner, Supul, and chalked out my stay plan with him. On the phone, he was kind enough to waiver off one days stay because we would reach his guest house at 4am and therefore it was more like an early check-in rather than a full days stay. I think he did this primarily because we went in the off-season! So as to leave no loose ends, I dropped him a text message with the phone discussion clearly mentioned and he confirmed the same. This proved to be a master move (more on that later). I must say that the entire process was very smooth and our stay was comfortable. The breakfast spread was awesome! The house is beautiful and the rooms are clean! He also gave us umbrellas when it rained. Supul has a wonderful family and I hope that they continue to host people from around the world! 

However, there were one or two experiences with him that left a slightly bad taste in the mouth. Supul helps his guests with various other bookings such as snorkeling, whale watching, etc. I suppose he earns some commission out of that and that is absolutely fine by me! However, I would like you to be careful about the following - 

1. Do not go by his recommendation of snorkeling. He will take you to Ajaa of Green Turtle snorkeling! Ajaa speaks very politely and helps the guests with proper snorkeling tips. So no problem there. But the girls in my group did not enjoy his constant staring, leching and touching while snorkeling. It was not a pleasant experience. He was weird that way! 

2. You must explore other whale watching companies before going with Supul's recommendation of Eagle Eye (his cousin owns it)! Although it is not bad, it is definitely not the best. My friends and I were not too sure if we wanted to do whale watching in the first place! So we told Supul that we will think about it. But he got tickets worth 6500/- ready for us. We told him that we did not confirm and would like to go there in the morning and decide for ourselves. He got a but touchy about it all. Despite our very polite request, he became a bit temperamental and that was not a good experience AT ALL! It seemed like we were not able to get through to him. He was very rude about it all. I told him I will discuss with my friends if and how we would like to do the whale watching and get back to him but he closed his door and went off to sleep! I kept knocking on his door and there was no response! He was VERY rude! In the end, we gave in and decided to go with his recommendation of whale watching company. The experience was slightly above average & the way he handled the matter was not good at all.

In the end, when we were checking out, he charged us for 3 nights instead of 2 nights! This was despite confirming the matter on the phone and then over text message as well. He was very rude during the check out process and made sure that we left on a bad note. As I mentioned before, it was a master move from my side by sending him a text message to confirm my telephone conversation with him. After I showed his confirmation to him and his family, he could not say anything and had to stick to his original agreement.

Therefore, please do consider it but be careful about the things I have mentioned. Confirm all charges with him in writing and double confirm charges of other things like tuk tuk etc that he may arrange for you when you are there.

Wonderful stay with few hiccups only

Nice four-room guesthouse with a garden just off the main road 5-min walk from Mirissa beach. We had a simple, clean non-AC room (no hot water), really friendly hosts, and terrific value. The included Sri Lankan breakfast was okay tasting, enormous and always has leftovers that you can easily bring with you for lunch.
