Thisara Holiday Bungalow

We spent one night staying at Thisara as a group of 5. We were welcomed brilliantly by our hosts who could not have been more helpful. Our rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the food we had for dinner and breakfast, Sri Lankan style, was delicious.

I would recommend a stay here to anybody!

I was in Sri Lanka . And was trverling on Thailand, Myanmar. Then I found Thisara holiday at negambo it was very easy to get to the airport. Bcos of the have traffic in Colombo. I lend this place is perfect. Nice friendly people. Give me good breakfasts.Rooms and bed are very comfortable,nice and fully air conditionined. Good clean swimming Poole. Hada relaxing day before I fliy to uk . Is a good value. Will recommend to any one . Nelum

Really like this place, the manager called Roshan (Like a grandfather), he is super nice and caring. Prepare well for the tour in Fish market and Dutch canal boat trip!! That trip make the boring negombo become fantastic!
He also buy fruit to us, prepare juice to welcome us without charging anything. We ordered the Breakfast that is also nice !  
He helped to bargain for the seafood in fish market,  we asked the chef in the hotel to help us cook the seafood , that is so sosos delicious! (Charge a little) so much cheaper than eating outside! 

We also went to the swimming pool. This price with this service, i have no complaint! 

佢幫我地搞左個船河 同埋魚市場既團 一人十美金，其實好抵，包車全程接送！佢又買生果又用果汁歡迎我地，就算我地淨係住一日。佢幫我講價買蟹買蝦，廚房幫我地煮，只收小小錢。好好既服務，完美，房東好貼心！好warm!

We had a short but a very memorable and  pleasant stay at thisara holiday homes.
It's funny because initially even after good reviews we were apprehensive about booking this hotel because we thought there was not much to explore in beginning.But the staff at the hotel made our stay memorable and so comfortable that we invited all our other friends  who were on a holiday to this place.a special mention for Mr.rohan ,who was ever present to cater to our needs.Full marks for hospitality and courtesy 

We were planning on backpacking in Sri Lanka for three weeks until we met the owner of Thisara Holidays. He took us in like family and showed us a Sri lanka we will never forget. For three full weeks we got to experience everything this lovely country has to offer in the best way possible. After Thisara picked us up at the airport they arranged everything for us such as a personal driver, hotels och made sure we would visit everything we wanted to see and more. If we had any problems they were just a phonecall away, instantly solving the issue. We were also checked up on by phone regularly to make sure everything was in order. We spent the last night at the Thisara Holiday Bungalows.
If you consider traveling to Sri Lanka I would highly recommend you to contact Thisara Holidays. This ended up being one of our best trips ever and we found a friend for life.

An oasis in the middle of Negombo

A delightful stay

Very welcoming, comfortable stay

Pros: 
- The building is situated in a private residential complex that has a pool which is about 50 metres away from the hotel. It was warm and quiet, there were no deck chairs but it was great to swim in. 
- The hotel was clean and we thought the beds were comfortable

Cons
- Far from negombo beach, touristy places, and not as close to the airport as other, better value places
- Wifi didn't work as well in our room
- No hook for a mosquito net over one of the beds (we had a double and single bed for 3 people)
- Only one plug socket was available
- The sink didn't drain properly so dirty water would just accumulate and sit their for hours
- The shower/bath was raised up and next to an unfrosted window, so I had to squat when showering so people wouldn't see me naked when they walked past. At one point I had to stand up to turn around and may/may not have been seen by one of the hotel staff as they cycled past. Not ideal.
- We asked for breakfast at 9am on both days. On the 2nd day we realised that they were getting breakfast out at 8am and then leaving it uncovered. When we walked downstairs we found flies on the rice. Bit gross.
- The guys running the place were never in the building. We'd see them about 5 times a day just cycling around the complex but when we needed them (e.g. when we wanted a replacement for the rice) they weren't around.
