To enjoy our last evening in Sri Lanka, we have decided to book the suite with a private swimming pool.  It did not disappoint us.  The Cove is a real boutique hotel (with only 3 rooms) beautifully decorated with antiques.  Being located on the busy touristic street, once you are inside, it is peaceful and tranquil.

We decided to stay in Negombo, as it is only 20/30 minutes from the airport, so it is a perfect place to rest from the long hours of flights.
We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful man, his name Ervin, who showed us everything, the best restaurants.
The breakfast is really good! 
The location is very peaceful, and the suite with private pool is stunning. Perfect for watching the sunset and drinking a few beers!

Best place to start our holidays!

Being so close to Columbo airport we thought it was an ideal location for one night before heading up north. The Manager and concierge could not have done more for us in our short stay at The Cove. Their breakfasts were just as stunning as the beautiful view from the second floor suite. Very well priced & memorable - Highly recommended. 

Private suite with swimming pool is a must!

We booked this place at the last moment to spend the last day of the year 2018.
This location is old fashioned but they have all the basic requirements you need such as hair dryer, tooth paste & brushes, bath tub , shower cap and ect.
Also the location and the rooms are very well maintained and cleaned as well.

If you looking for a place to spend your time calm , quiet & private will recommend this place.
The property does not have a swimming pool but it's a beach front property.

The staff at the location are very Helpful and friendly, and the breakfast they served us also was very tasty.

An amazing small hotel, super clean, and the staff is very nice and friendly, very nice location directly on the beach, since the hotel have only 3 rooms, it feels private and relaxing, we will definitly go there everytime we travel to Sri Lanka

Main reasons why I chose this property were 1. Close to the airport 2. Located along the beach 3. Private pool and 4. Budget friendly. The property has this very relaxing and comfy vibe. Wooden doors, stairs, ceilings and even some floors. The room I picked was just fantastic! Aside from it’s own pool, it’s also spacious and the view to the beach is fantastic! Tranquility at it’s finest! If you are someone who is just looking for a place to crash and ease your mind out of stress and all that, this place is perfect! I stayed from Sunday through Thursday. No complains! Since the villa only has three rooms, the treatment you get from the staff is very personalised. They are all great but Irvin stands out! He is very reliable and he always goes the extra mile. Small grocery and souvenir shops plus restaurants are accessible by walk. The place is safe to roam at even at night (for ladies). 

I loved the breakfasts and sunsets at this property. I will definitely come back soon! 

First Solo Travel

Stayed here for a whole 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. On arrival we received a friendly welcome and check in went smoothy and we were shown to our room.
Our room was fine, although the doorways were a little low and twice my husband banged his head.
The balcony was fine and the view just perfect.
Breakfasts were OK we opted for the non Sri Lankan option and the fresh fruit to start was lovely.
The Cove is in a good position with plenty of places to eat within walking distance, there is also a laundry close by and several supermarkets.
One dissapointment is that the swimming pool shown on the website looks like it is for the use of all guests when in fact it is only for the use of guests in the suite on the top floor, this is a bit of a let down. Irvine  is an asset to this property.
