Great place for a stop over if you are visiting Polonnaruwa. The rooms are clean and the staff is nice. This isn't a fancy hotel BUT I loved the fact the rooms are very comfortable and super clean for a stay. They don't serve food but if you ask they will make sure to arrange. The location is also very convenient to visit the iconic Polonnaruwa Ancient city. There's tons of restaurants near by as well. This is a great place stay.

Clean & Comfortable! Great Location!

7.94070°, 80.99947° Siyanco Holiday Resort is centrally located, with access to the new town to the south and major cultural sites to the north. Despite the 2019 bombings and the COVID lockdown, this hotel has invested in the future of tourism. It offers rooms with renovated bathrooms and, above all, clean rooms: an example to all hotels in Sri Lanka that cleaning is not expensive and a good sign of hospitality. Not a good sign of hospitality was the owner’s offer to buy the hotel. That sends the wrong signal.

In March 2024, our room 401 (2F) was in the building surrounding the swimming pool. Rooms with a lower number were in the building next to the restaurant. Our room had good air-conditioning and television. The ceiling fan was out of order. Laundry service was available and we enjoyed the pool in the afternoon sun. The restaurant served a limited but good quality buffet breakfast. Wi-Fi reception in the room was intermittent. 

Siyanco Holiday Resort offers renovated and clean rooms. Recommended.

My two-night stay at this Polonnaruwa hotel was nothing short of fantastic. Every aspect of my visit surpassed my expectations.
Cleanliness and comfort were impeccable, offering a reassuring and cozy retreat during my trip.The culinary experience and service were unparalleled highlights. An array of delicious options awaited me, accompanied by friendly and attentive staff who elevated my stay.The hotel's prime location in the heart of Polonnaruwa allowed easy access to the main road and the serene Parakrama Lake, enhancing our exploration of the area.I can't find a single flaw to mention, and I'm already planning my return. This hotel left an enduring positive impression, making it a must for anyone visiting Polonnaruwa. A true gem indeed!

Polonnaruwa Perfection: Exceeded Expectations 

One of the best hotels I have ever been in polonnaruwa. Comfortable rooms, friendly service, calm atmosphere, great foom they have all for your satisfaction. It's worth staying there. New experience, maximum satisfaction. 

It's marvelous

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel in the Polonnaruwa area during my two-night stay. Everything about it exceeded my expectations.

First and foremost, the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations were outstanding. It's always reassuring to find a well-maintained and cozy place to rest during a trip.

The highlight for me, though, was the food and the level of service provided by the staff. The dining experience was excellent, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. The attentive and friendly staff made the stay even more enjoyable. Their service was top-notch and added to the overall positive impression.

The location of the hotel is indeed a major advantage. Being situated in the heart of Polonnaruwa, it offers easy access to the main road and the beautiful Parakrama Lake. This central location made it convenient for us to explore the area and enjoy the nearby attractions.

I can't find any flaws to report from my stay, and I left with the intention of returning in the future. This hotel left a lasting positive impression, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Polonnaruwa area. It's a true gem!

Exceptional Stay in Polonnaruwa: A Gem by Parakrama Lake

Pretty basic hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. 

Didn’t use the swimming pool, but my friends who did, said it was lovely and warm. 

Breakfast was adequate. 

Convenience stores and restaurants are within walking distance. 

I was in the new block, but there was no wifi once you were inside your room.

Perfectly adequate for one night.

We stood for 3 nights in that hotel, the central location nearby the museum, ruins and the lake is very comfortable. The rooms are big and clean, you have a nice pool to swim and relax after a Hit sightseeing day. The friendly owner helped us for every issues, we had, and also the restaurant is recommendable.

stayed one night.There is a big pool. clean room. perfect water control and Aircon. Friendly staff. specialy foods are very very tasty. Fast internet connection. One of best place at polonnaruwa........

very hispitable

Although fairly basic the staff were great, really accommodating. Very clean. Only stayed one night but would recommend. Had dinner and breakfast here and both were nice. They love cricket and very, very chatty about New Zealand vs. Sri Lanka!
