You're not really going to care about minor stuff like there being no lightswitch that seems to turn off the light near the door so you've got to start unscrewing the lightbulb until it turns off. Or the fact that the showers also never had hot water. Because the view is that good, and a giant waterfall 60 second walk away from the dining area (where from you can see the thing).  

Staff were very friendly, bed was comfortable. Buffet breakfast was pretty good.

Epic Waterfall and Walking Trails at This Hotel

High in the mountains of Sri Lanka the hotel is located in probably the most scenic location imaginable, fantastic views over a valley and a great waterfall to the side.  Everything about this hotel pleases, rooms are comfortable and staff are fantastic.  Highly recommend this hotel.

A great place to stay - fabulous views

Stunning waterfall views from our room in 402! Amazing vista - and large comfortable room and bathroom. Buffet dinner only average - wish they would offer decent Sri Lankan curries and rice dishes instead of doing Western food. But a great place to stay overall.

If you want to experience Sri Lankan hospitality at its most genial and generous then this hotel in an absolutely stunning location should be on your list! Excellent staff, great facilities and nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend!!

Stunning location and hospitality .

The room standards have significantly declined, lacking basic amenities such as toothpaste and tissues. Outdated electrical plugs further exacerbated the discomfort. Additionally, the food quality was subpar, with a limited and mediocre menu selection. Moreover, the hygiene standards in the restaurant were notably lacking.

Not a very pleasurable experience

We stayed here with a large tour group and found the staff, service, and meals to be excellent.  We had the dinner and breakfast buffets and were impressed with the range of options available.  The buffet dinner and several beers and cocktails were only 13,000lks.  There is a beautiful infinity pool and a great view out to the waterfalls.  We were lucky to have a balcony to enjoy the views but were disappointed that we couldn't leave the doors or windows open due to monkeys, and there was only a ceiling fan for ventilation in the room, so it was a bit stuffy.

Fabulous views

The views of the water falls and access to the water falls is great. The rooms are spacious clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful in many ways. Access to the hotel is a steep 150mtrs drive down. The food in the evening was cold and sub-standard. Being isolated you have no opportunity to go out and eat.

Ramboda falls stay

I spend a overnight in Ramboda fall hotel. The staff was very friendly and active. Specially want to thank Mr. Kasun is front office, he was gave us warm welcome. That's the first impression of our entire holiday. 
We will again visit this hotel. The food was really tasty and good fusion collection. So thanks for beautiful service. 
The location of the hotel really Attraction.we enjoyed lot.

Great day 

We definitely cannot complain about this hotel,  the rooms were comfortable, although the bed a tad hard, and the food in the  restaurant was just excellent.
The staff were pleasant and helpful, although none of them particularly stood out. Without a doubt the major attraction at the hotel is the magnificent view of the waterfall. Along with the lovely (albeit very steep) walk down to the waterfall. We also enjoyed having a drink at the bar overlooking the waterfall l which made it quite special.

Jaw opening view from our room was enough to give five stars, good bufet breakfast and dinner added some extra points. The Waterfall was just in front of our terrace, a pack of monkeys occupied it  every morning giving us some extra enjoyment.
