We didn't stay at this accommodation but found this little gem right at the beach. You cal rent a daybed (with shade) here, enjoy service with beautiful food and have the beach to cool down right at your feet. Don't miss out on the lovely iced tea with local spices!!

Beautiful food!

Me and girlfriend arrived early may the room was very comfortable and affordable the food was very tasty and cooked what ever you want,the owner was excellent and very decent man which is now our good friend,my girlfriend due to covid got stuck there for 7 weeks i could not recommend this place enough to my friends its safe clean and affordable with very helpful and trustworthy staff..thanks michael &joe ann 👍

Top class service👍

Situated in between coconut hill and the large rock in Mirissa on a little sandy bay, it is an ideal place to stay. We were lucky enough to stay here for 5 nights during the CV scare in March 2020. When we needed to  move somewhere that served food, due to everything closing down because of the curfew, we could not have chosen a better place. He arranged a transfer for us at a very reasonable price. The hotel has a little garden which leads directly onto the beach. Breakfast was included, and the food served in the restaurant was the best we had eaten in Sri Lanka. Stayed in a triple room which had everything you would need, a fridge, aircon, and even an electric shower. The people working here were all lovely and could not do enough for you. Was the best value for money accommodation we stayed at during our stay in Sri Lanka, would definitely return.

Perfect spot.

This place is really nice with a frinedly atmosphere mainly managed by Dylan which is always smiling and finding solution to make you happy. His brother and his father are also very nice people.

Very beautifull beach just in front of your room (10 meters !!!) with Turtles in the sea and sunbeds

It is our second stay here and we are almost sure to come back again here.

Food is also very tasty

Room so small only 1 person can open their suitcase at a time. 

Bathroom so disgusting it needed 5 x car air fresheners to cover the putrid smell.

Creepy owners lurking outside your room every time you leave.

Worst place I've ever stayed

The whole family have been here 4 days now , and will be here fore three more days.This is just 10 minutes walk to Mirrissa beach. But without the big waves and all noice from restaurants and cafes. It is a perfect place for families with small kids because the waves are very easy to handle. I will come back with a final review after the the whole stay here, but until now everything is going very smoothly.

Very close to beach - Nice and calm. A  real pearl!

My wife, 5-year-old daughter and me wanted to spend some time in Mirissa to snorkel and watch the turtles during our five-week trip to Sri Lanka and Sea Goggle Rest Resort proved to be a perfect place for this. The hotel is situated immediately near the ocean and you can go swimming any time of day or night if you want. The rooms are nice and spacious, we also had an extra bed for the child. There is an AC in the room so the heat is not a problem. There is a heater in the bathroom so you have hot water on demand, but we had problems with water pressure sometimes.
The beach is rather small and cosy. The place is away from Mirissa's rush and feels rather serene, especially in the evenings. You can get sunbeds if you want, but there are some places on the sand that are protected by tree shade throughout the day. The Turtle Bay stands true to its name and you can see turtles grazing on underwater grass just 10-20 metres away from the shore. I've also encountered small rays, countless fish and even murenes in the reefs off the shore. The rocks at the mouth of the bay break the waves and the beach is perfect for small kids - there are no strong waves at the shore, the sand is not too fine and the water is crystal clear. 
Yet, all these details do not do justice to the atmosphere of the place. From the very moment we arrived we felt genuinely welcome and at home. The owner, Dilan, was an absolutely fabulous host. Whatever we needed - he was there to help us. When he had some special treats, like homemade desserts, he shared it with us Whenever he had fresh fruit delivered - he would treat our daughter to the freshet ones. She is rather shy and wary of strangers, but after just a few days she felt absolutely at home in Turtle Bay, walking around giving high fives to the staff and chatting them up. And this tells a lot about the people to me. I did read mixed reviews about the place from previous years, but apparently they changed personnel completely and are re-inventing the place. And I must say they are doing a really good job there. When it was time for us to move to another place, we really felt like we were leaving a piece of us behind in Turtle Bay. This is a place I would love to visit again, and to a great degree thanks to fantastic people who run it.
Overall, this is not a five-star hotel, but it conquers you with its friendly and relaxed atmosphere, great open people and a lovely beach away from all the hustle of central Mirissa, which is just a 10-minute walk away along the ocean. 
The ocean at your doorstep and lovely hosts definitely make it a fantastic place to stay.

Great getaway spot

Sea Goggle has nice spacious rooms, beachfront on a relatively calm water beach. Lots of Sea Turtles to see and swim with!
Deelan the owner is a very friendly hospitable guy, and an Excellent cook! We had amazing rice and curry, several times and beautiful Sri Lankan breakfasts , breakfast included in room rate . He can also make western food if preferred. Overall, great experience! 

Beachfront & Fabulous Food 

i couldn t understand the good reviews for this place,but i can see they changed administration. so you will not find anymore the small modest corner of paradise, nor the kind friendly old man always ready to help, willing to make your stay a pleasant one. 
what we found was a garden transformed in a construction site, we had to keep our daughter (2yo) always in our arms. there was a big hole ,3 meters , secured by a couple of plastic chaise-longs on the borders, pieces of old rusted metal and nails and tools left around on the ground, sacks of garbage, distressed by the dogs ,left under the sun for days,three or four dogs in unhealthy conditions always barking and following everywhere fighting with other dogs.
The room was very dirty, we had to buy our own cleaning products and clean it ourselves when check in. the owner said it s off season so we have to arrange ourselves. 
every night we were kept awake by the new born puppies abandoned in the garden ,crying for food and by an italian guy who was habitually beating and yelling at his wife. they were in the room next to us, but we never understood if they were guests or friends or owners as it seemed they were practically living there. 
the 5-6 employers (?) where always smoking , drinking and playing on their phones .
the bar is also a provided by a bunch of beach-boys,where everyone employers, owner challenge themselves in which one is more aggressive and insistent with any female they spot. 
we had an open table for the restaurant bar and other services. when paying the check we had to pay much more money than we agreed at our arrival and the other bill was exhilarating showing unlimited quantities of coffe we never consumed and we had to pay twice for the laundry. trying to talk to the owner and explain that there must be a mistake we  ve been circled by the same stoned and drunk guys and harassed to pay what they ask.it was only 20 euro difference , but can anyone count the frustration one feels being treated like that? suddenly the owner, Dylan , didn 't speak english anymore, all he wanted was we give him the money he says we owe. 
so, yes, if you like to be ignored and mocked and ruin your holiday ,this is the best place where you can go!

better not!! there are other resorts in mirissa that worth your time and money!

This place is ruled by the most dangerous family in Mirissa! Once you are on their property you become their possession. They will ask what you want to do and offer themselves to guide you and give help. Do not give them confidence.for the rest of the staying they will pretend you only buy their services and you have always one of them at your back monitoring where you going, what you're doing. If you just have one coffee in another place that is not their restaurant -bar, they will get offensive and threatening.
I will not talk about how dirty and insecure the whole resort is, about the fresh blood stains I found on my bedsheets, about the sick dog that almost bite me and indeed bite a child, about the awful dirty kitchen of the restaurant. That is nothing compared to the coercive measures you are constantly victim of. They will ask money. It doesn't matter what for. You always owe them something. Wanna see the whales? They will take you there. You wanna take a trip in the jungle safari. They will send you to their ”friend ” and you will do so! Because you know nothing, it's their country and if you don't just understand that when they suggest it smiling friendly, you will for sure have it very clear when they start intimidating you pointing the finger, yelling and threaten you. My holiday was a nightmare. I was supposed to stay there for a month. After three days I started to feel uncomfortable. The owner, Dylan always harassing me with a pathetic attempt of courtship, but not funny at all! His nephew, Sadin- occupation ”beach -boy” and seller of ”cigarettes, with stoned paranoid imagination harassing me too in order to buy his products and not to get any friendship with other tourists.
After another couple of days I decided to change hotel as I was already living a nightmare. I went down to pay the bill for my staying and they started to threaten that I better leave Mirissa that night or they will make me regret( jail, broken legs ecc..) I was practically surrounded by five guys yelling at me all sort of things while Dylan was asking me to pay doubled the price we initially agreeded. I was shaking, couldn't understand anything, couldn't even count the money. In the end they took all the cash they found in my wallet ( euro and rupies) and only then they let me go. I had to change two tuk tuk just to be sure they don't follow and registered under fake name in another hotel for that night.next day in the morning I practically ran away to Colombo and took the first fly back home. 
So..... This was my Odyssey at Goggle sea resort.
