We had a reservation at a dorm across the street, but they ended up being full so she took us here, to her sisters place. It’s very quiet, clean, had really comfortable beds, and short walk to the beach. They had WiFi but it was not very strong. Good enough for one night. The family is very kind and pleasant. You can use their kitchen. They give you your space, we didn’t have too much interaction once checked in.

Situated a short 5 minutes walk from Mirissa beach in a quiet part of the town and run by a lovely couple, Nihal and Mala who ensured my week long stay was both relaxing and affordable.
The room with was simple and clean with comfortable bed and very nice en-suite. A/C was optional. The garden offered some much needed shade with several exotic fruit trees and periodically, a troup of monkeys which were shy and kept their distance.
The owners were kind and provided advice on local restaurants and excursions. Mala's morning coffee, from her garden, was the best tasted on holiday and Nihal was available most days for tuk tuk journeys. It was all good!

We run into friends who just stayed at hirusara guesthouse so when we arrived in mirissa we walked towards it. Very sweet couple, the rooms were cleaned for us and we were received with a very warm welcome. It is nice to experience the gratefulness and we were named family. Shower and bed were just fine, we stayed one extra night because we enjoyed it so much. It is cheap and the money we saved we used for nice activities and good food. We enjoyed mirissa a lot, it is a  five minute walk from the beach and main road, which we actually liked because it is away from all the noise. Overall very positive and am happy to have contributed to this families income! 

Warm people, guesthouse with facilities that you need for a nice affordable stay in Mirissa

We stayed for 5 days, the place is clean and the couple are really kind and helpful. It's cheap and good you have everything you need. 
They have a nice garden and you're also close to the beach and all the restaurant. She offer to cook for you also.


Really nice place to stay

We stumbled upon this guest house after getting a bit lost trying to find somewhere else in Mirissa. The couple were friendly and kind and were really sweet to us, even driving us into Tangalle on the morning we left. The bathroom facilities were fantastic and the bed was comfortable - we had such a good sleep. We had time for coffee in the morning and it was served in beautiful china as we watched a monitor lizard and monkeys in the garden. It was a little walk down to the beach but it was all flat so this wasn't really a bother.
