The younger brother of owner of this property seems to be good person. He tried to help us get afternoon safari. But before we could finalize with him, his elder brother came and misguided us. He offered us afternoon safari at LKR 4000 per head, We were three persons. He took LKR 12000, all in advance. He stated that he will take us deep in Block-1. But he did not. He just took us on a public road where public buses, TukTuks and even Motor Cyclists were travelling. This public road passes through one side of Block-1. He only showed us elephants, crocodiles and spotted deer. 
He completely cheated us. He even did not buy park entrance tickets. Please avoid this property.

I've been robbed of 100 euros from the owner of this place, he just pick them up from my wallet during nightime, then i spent 10 days in this place waiting to have my money back ( i had back just one part). please be aware of this place

We met the guide on the bus that was recommended to us by the bus driver. He promised a 7 hour tour instead you get a 5 hour tour of the park. He promised that the driver would give us knowledge about the park and its animals instead we got i driver who had no idea of speaking any English and the only word of an animal he pronounced and knew was "iguana iguana iguana" which sincerely you can find in any local city. The whole park was disappointing, no bears, no leopards, no nothing! You just drive around in an uncomfortable pick up for 5 hours going as slow as possible to save on the petrol. I usually don't complain about trips but this is literally throwing your money down the toilet! Even the breakfast was poor and not as they originally promised. If you manage to read this post before giving them any money good for you! In the picture it shows the time we got out of the park!

The worst experience a safari can be!! And total scam!

We had a really bizarre experience in Tissa and with the Yala Leopard Safaris. Like Alana D (see previous review) we were also picked up on the bus coming from Tengalle. The guy who spoke to my husband and I spoke relatively good English and was obviously looking for tourists to pick up before arriving in Tissa. I noticed another guy get on the bus too who also did the same to another couple. As we arrive in Tissa, we go to check out the room, which was really cheap. We were needing somewhere to stay while going to Yala National Park the next morning so it seemed OK. We spoke with Nilangy, who spoke really good English and was basically the guy who does the talking and selling of the tours. He said it would be either his father, his brother or him who would take us the following day on the safari, promising to see leopards if you went on the full day tour. Being honest people ourselves, we trusted what he said and booked - forgetting to look at TripAdvisor first (big mistake). Another couple later that day asked us what our plan as they were questioning because there were bad reviews, and so we quickly checked them and began having doubts ourselves. 

Basically, Nilangy lies about it being his family that takes you and them providing binoculars. Some random guy in an old jeep (not the one that was in the driveway) picks you up and stops along the way to buy lunch (Mine had a safety pin (?!?!) in it). Nilangy also showed us a map of where we'd go on the full day tour, which also just turns into a massive chase with about 30 other jeeps to find the leopards. 

The only saving grace was the driver spoke English so we could have a decent conversation and a few laughs in the end. Being on the full day tour, we went to the edge of block 1 where there is a safe river to swim in, this was thanks to our driver. We saw over 15 different kinds of animals throughout the day and spending the day in a national park was really nice.

We got dropped back to Nilangy's family accommodation, where he was nowhere to be seen for the duration of our stay. Not waiting around to say our goodbyes, we promptly left the following morning. Wouldn't recommend...

Over priced, lied to, etc.

That was the most terrible experience we have hade in Sri Lanka. 
We met this guy on bus station and he said that he had already 4 people awaiting for afternoon safari and he needs just 2 more and thats why he gave us "a good price". He showed us a new car before and said thats the car we will drive in safari.
Ok at 2:00 pm when we were supposed to go he told us that 4 other people will not go ("changed pland") and it will be private for the same money. And the "new car" is broken now so we got old (probably oldest in sri lanka) 
Guide couldnt speak english (just a couple of words) and no knowledge about animals. On the way to the park they took another way (not main gate) - he said it was a lot of people now. Then we just went around the park (NOT IN THE PARK) and tried to find animals . Then after 1 hour we decided to interrupt it because of he just cheated us. When we arrved he didnt want to give us our money back! Avoid this company and this man (see attached photo) save your time and money!!
