Ralla Beach Villa

We booked Ralla Villa (and paid a 30% deposit to the travel agent) for a 50th wedding anniversary family reunion 15 months in advance. Despite 2 confirmations from Ralla in that period, the villa informed our travel agent 2 weeks before our holiday (and only when the travel agent called them for a routine check) that they would not be honouring our booking because they were double booked by mistake. Disgusting customer service. Due to the swift action of our super travel agent, Red Dot Tours, we were able to find another villa, and a nicer one at that! I would never recommend unreliable Ralla Villa to anyone. It might be great when you actually stay there but they seem untrustworthy and disorganized.

Terrible management

Everything about our time at Ralla was fantastic. Great welcome, food was out of this world, thank you chef! Beautiful house, beautiful place, perfect location. If i was to build the perfect holiday home, that would be it. Simple, clean, airy but comfortable. Every detail has been thought about. Staff were the best. I would have happily moved in for good! We traveled with 4 teenagers and they loved the surf and the nightlife. Bring a blow up mattress for the pool!

Amazing place.

Seven of us occupied the entire Villa of four bedrooms from 20-22 March.

The limited buildable ground space has been skill fully utilised and the interiors are elegantly and tastefully decorated. In room amenities can match up to a high end boutique hotel. Even a free in house laundry service ! Detailing is of a very high standard. 

Owners seem to have read the minds of frequent Travellers in designing the hotel. There are a very few shortcomings, but they are hardly worth mentioning. 

Staff are friendly, smiling and always willing to be of service day or night. The Chef is experienced and did two good dinners for us. We were out for lunch and could not try a Sri Lankan lunch. 

Overall a very good hotel lacking in nothing. A very enjoyable and memorable holiday.

Hotel like a Home

Booked a room at RALLA as we had to attend a wedding at one of the hotels near by. The villa has 4 bedrooms to rent and is very well maintained. From the rooms to the garden to the pool nothing it was neat and tidy. The villa is also a beach front property for those who like to surf. For those people who like to just unwind inside they have a fair sized pool, badminton court and few a games.. 
The room was average sized but the bathroom was very spacious. My only grouse was that the floors in the villa were very slippery! A few non slip mats placed strategically could solve this problem. The bathrooms had the usually amenities like shower cap, shampoo, sewing kit etc which was pleasant surprise... 
The staff at the villa were very helpful and nice. Two rooms in the villa are non beach view and the other two are beach view. So be specific when you book. 
I would recommend  this villa for solo or singles and not so much for families only because of the slippery floors. As it's a disaster waiting to happen with children running around!

Lovely little place 

The staff and the cook (yes, really!) were fantastic, helpful, open, fun, etc. You just write down what you need and in the afternoon the things you order are ready. The pool is super clean, access to the sea is simply priceless. Bars, restaurants, surf schools - everything is right next door. If you can leave the villa at all...

That's great!

Easy to locate since it is right after the Marriott and the management is very well organised. Although sold on BB basis, they have well planned menu suggestions that help organise the meals to be cooked and the grocery bills are given to us by the end of the stay. 

Clean and well constructed Ralla is a very welcoming villa with a large garden area and a pool. Not to mention direct access to the beach.

Only minus, very slippery floors. Polished cement floors can be hazardous. Our kids fell a few times while running about in the living area and in the room too..
