We stayed at the Mirage Beach Resort Feb 24th - 27th 2020 and had a fabulous time! The cottage is very rustic and somewhat dark inside but was a perfect fit for our group of 2 couples. The resort is perfectly located right on Laborie Beach and has a wonderful, private outdoor sitting area. Swimming is great in the shallows however the bottom turns from sandy to weeds / coral just over waist deep. A floaty will fix that issue no problem. The town with shops and restaurants is a 15min  walk down the beach. We felt very safe and enjoyed soaking up the local culture. Everyone in town was very friendly and we felt very safe venturing into town during the day and evenings for dinner. Mamma Tilly's was a fun and authentic dinner out. If you plan to cook at the resort I suggest stopping for groceries at Massy's near the airport as opposed to shopping in Laborie as selection is quite limited and costs are much higher. Overall I would highly recommend the Mirage for those wanting to get out of the main tourist areas of Saint Lucia and experience more of the local culture, Lastly, the owner (Florence) was awesome. She was very accommodating when our arriving flight was delayed 3hrs waiting for us at the gate as we arrived. Thanks Florence for allowing us the pleasure to stay at your resort. Mike

Wonderful Time at Mirage Beach Resort

My family of five have just returned from a seven day stay at this blissful spot and will be returning. Flo and her daughter could not have been more welcoming, the apartment is literally in the sea and we felt totally relaxed for our stay.  The sea is perfect and the accommodation rustic and magical. It’s worth pointing out that laborie beach is much quieter and less touristy than the north but if you are looking for a slice of authentic Caribbean bliss without a resort (or often fellow tourist) in sight, here it is. 

An incredible place to holiday 

We stayed at the Mirage Beach Resort, in their Seaview Apartment, in the middle of our 2 week vacation in St. Lucia. It was a 2 bedroom apartment with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The apartment is very charming with various creative touches by the Owner. We had use of our own private terrace and private entrance to the beach. Laborie is a small fishing village and the beach is frequented by the locals. The owner, Florence was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to go around the island. She introduced us to her neighbour who takes visitors around on self-planned tours. We enjoyed staying in Florence's resort.

Best beach stay in Laborie, St. Lucia

We stayed a total of 7 nights in the Seaside apartment, on 2 separate bookings! I would return in a HEARTBEAT! Not only is the apartment even better than described, the owner and her family are very welcoming and kind. I would describe the apartment as a rustic and almost tree-house kinda feel (LOVED IT!). As a previous reviewer stated, yes there is stairs but I believe it was referred to as more of a studio other than 1 bedroom. That is sort of correct but there is also a divider between the kitchenette, dining room, etc. and why wouldn't you sit outside on the ocean? After all, this is a beach house. My boyfriend and I stayed as we chased many waterfalls around the island. This beach house is an awesome location for those wanting to explore the island, hike the piton, chase multiple beautiful waters, soak in the sulfur baths, etc., as these are all in close proximity. I hope to return one day and bring my daughters with. I actually got cold at night with the sea breeze so no need for air! And, the best part was falling asleep to and waking up to the sound of the waves crashing. This is a great deal, awesome location and a truly island GEM. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you Mirage for an awesome and unforgettable St. Lucian Island experience. We hope to be back again in the future! BLESSINGS to you!

Ocean Front Patio Rustic Island GEM! EXACTLY as described, but even better!!!

If you are going for a quiet beach front Carribean holiday you would not want to miss this location. Although the place is divided into a large one bedroom apartment and a smaller bachelor apartment, a group of us booked both and the owner opened up the connecting doors so it became one big house. There are two patios that are very compfortable and shade is always possible. It is well equiped. If you want to do lots of touring around you would want to have a car rental, but if it is a goal to just relax you can manage using the local collectives. The house is not air conditioned, but there are many fans inside and with the ocean breeze we did not feel it was unbearable. The only concerns we had was fresh water pressure at times and electricity outages - neither were a fault of the owner - community issues. We would rent this place again.

Beach front, patios, sea breeze, shaded patios and comfortable rustic house

Be advised that they are advertising a 1 bedroom but it is not this is a studio apartment. When asked directly we were told that it had a fridge and stove if you considered a bar fridge this is true the stove is a 2 burner hot plate not a stove. The owner is totally unreliable to talk to and has you pay in full up front now I know why. The picture are very decent so be careful what you think you’re getting is not what you get.
