This place is the worst place I ever stayed. For some reason, I had the feeling that I was being watched all the time and for sure, someone touched our stuff. I couldn't not understand who was the manager of this place.. probably one of the many kids that lived in the building.  
After I checked in and paid for two night for two people upfront, a little person threatened us to pay more without any logical explanation. He/she just wanted to make fun of us and because their currency didn't have any value, he/she forced us to pay for a 3rd night. Of course that I didn't. 
Avoid this place. Not even the location was good (if you dont have a car), the place was dirty, very unsafe, very weird and avoid at all coast. It is worth to paid a little more and have a safe and peaceful night somewhere else.

I've stayed at the Tropical Palace for 5 days on my first visit to Paramaribo in Suriname. The hotel is quiet, clean and well maintained, in the quiet Monplaisir district north of the historic center. Among the big pluses: Strong, consistent WiFi. Good air conditioning. An excellent breakfast (included), served on a breezy, delightful terrace. Their driver, Farouk, really knows Paramaribo. The hotel is a very good value for the money. Best of all, the manager, Maureen, made a valiant effort to help me resolve a lost luggage problem with InselAir, calling the airline office day and night to help me.

A Quiet, Friendly Place in Paramaribo

My family and  I stayed at this B&B for three days .We felt likes VIP's. The hospitality was great. The environment very peaceful. The staff  is very helpful. I will definitely go back to this facility anytime I visit Suriname.u
