After staying here, I ask myself if there is no management at this place that can inform the staff on how to run a hotel..
As usual when traveling I booked a room online when I knew approximately when I would arrive. Booked the room eight hours in advance, and as usual did get a confirmation after a while, meaning the hotel had approved the booking. Arriving late at night after driving 850 kilometers I was met by a young woman who told me I did not have a booking, and that they were fully booked so there were no rooms available. Told her that I did actually get a confirmation that the booking was approved, whereas she told me that wasn't right because she herself had checked their bookings via the website I made the booking. When I did show her the confirmation I received she then ran off to the office checking if I was right. When she realised that I actually had a booking, they suddenly had a vacant room after all, but it was not cleaned. Had to sit down and wait late at night while they prepared the room. Ok, so I got the room, mistakes happen to everyone so not a big deal. Room was quite standard, but rate is also low so that was actually ok. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was nice, nothing to complain about regarding the room, except for that there should have been power outlets near the bedstand to charge phones and such. Morning came and I went down for breakfast. What a sad sad thing.... Seemed like there should have been a massive four different types of foods to have on your bread, that in itself is quite poor, but when three out of four is empty that is just sad and not a good way to start a day. I first said politely to the two people working there, chatting away with each other as they laid up items for to sell in the cafeteria later that day that almost everything was empty. Nothing happened, and I was not about to wait for a long time to get my breakfast. I did get a few slices of bread, by the way.. You should really sharpen the bread-knife, got some bacon that seemed to have been laying out for a long time, the remains of scrambled eggs was cold and not delicate at all so I skipped that. I then told them again that everything at the breakfast was empty, and instead of apologies the woman seemed to get angry, telling me that there had been so many others eating before me.. Many?? I think they have 15-20 rooms... The hotel has a great location for those just needing a place to sleep while traveling by, if they manage to get their routines in order it would have been a really nice experience, but for now it seems lack of training the staff really brings this place down...

Out of control

Visiting friends in town and needed rooms for our brood.  Had reservations which were confirmed by someone. How can it be that despite the sign in front for a hotel, there wasn't a door unlocked to get in or check in desk ANYWHERE on the premises.  If this a locally owned mom and pop place and you are short on staff, please train your restaurant waiters and cooks to greet travelers with bags with respect. We were sent searching all over the place looking for someone to take our $ and obtain a key.  Once we had lugged our luggage up the stairs twice, the cook finally recognized we needed help and checked us in to the hotel.

Stayed at Arboga hotel for 1 night on my way to Stockholm. Very fresh rooms, renovated lately. You get all you need including a breakfast buffét. Pricing is reasonable. Despite the location by the motorway E18 it is very quiet in the rooms thanks to new multilayer window panes. The restaurant is open until 10-11 P.M. The food is nice and fresh. Even late in the evening you can get a warm meal. A lot of choices according to the menu, from hamburger/fries to nicely cooked fish or meat dishes. They have it's own bakery so the pastries and cakes are worth trying. Portions are relatively big. Newly launched Tesla Supercharger station on the hotel's parking lot. Parking is free of charge. Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, shower/WC, hair dryer. Would definitely stop here again.

Stopped here to charge the Tesla and to have lunch. While the charger worked flawlessly, the kitchen struggled. Besides a piss-sour chef and an absolutely disgusting buffet, the wok turned out ok. Stay away from the buffet, drink the coffee, eat the sandwiches and move on. The place itself is nice, but either they need new mgmt or a mgmt that is present in the restaurant.
