Amazing and unforgettable experience from start to finish. Abisko was such a peaceful place and staff at the guesthouse really helped to make our stay extra special. I had some special requests for a suprise engagement and Lukas and Carolina went out of their way to help and make it all work! Huge thank you to Lukas Carolina Tony Alex and all of the staff and guides who helped to make this trip one we will never forget. Would highly recomend for couples or solo travellers alike.  Abisko guesthouse has all you will need and more. We took the train from Stockholm which was also a really nice way to see the countryside. Will be back again soon. November visit

If you want to see the Northern Lights, this is one of the best places you can stay. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, and are located within a short walking distance to the grocery store and train station. Additionally, the National Park Visitor's Center is within walking distance, made possible by a convenient, lighted footpath.  One of the best places to see the lights is the shores of the nearby lake, also within walking distance. The best thing about the Abisko Guesthouse is its cost. Why pay more for a place to sleep??? Why not pay less, and then spend your money on the many tours and experiences available through the guesthouse? I took advantage of their BBQ/Northern Lights Tour and their Tour to Norway. Both were great and well worth my time. The staff here is very kind and helpful, and the owner, Klas, is a very good person. You can't beat what this establishment has to offer! Also, if you book a stay with them, I highly recommend using their website to book a transfer shuttle from the Kiruna Airport to the Guesthouse. It is the best way to make the trip. They meet you right at the airport. The train is also available but it only has one or two routes per day, so I wouldn't waste your precious time.

Cozy little guesthouse that is within walking distance to everything in Abikso!

I would highly recommend the Abisko Guesthouse when you are there. My friend and I did not pre-book a lot of the activities but the people at the Guesthouse were super helpful in getting us slots for the activities we wanted. The guides for the tours were also very knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms and common areas were nice and clean. They also provide outerwear like snow suits, boots, hats, and gloves so you don't have to worry about freezing. 

Highly recommended base for when you're exploring Abisko

Awesome people, very service minded and accommodating. We had booked a snowmobile ride which we had later on changed to another date, but unfortunately we had both forgotten about it so we missed it completely. But they came and told us that it was no problem, just go to the reception and it would be sorted out, and it was sorted out the same day. 

After checking out we still had some more time until our train would depart, so they provided us with a kitchen and toilet card, in case we had to cook some food or use the toilet, we even could use their winter clothes as well. All in all it was a super nice stay at Abisko Guesthouse and I would recommend it to everyone contemplating a visit. 

Fantastic

Really great stay with Klas and his crew ! All the guides were super friendly - each one with his own style -, in a natural way, making you feel really like a guest and not a customer. Ratchata (sorry if misspelled), the "young, wild and free" hiking guide, thanks to her experience we managed to spot a moose just outside Abisko. Wilhelm took us on snowmobile and despite no northern lights we enjoyed a great starry night and really long ride. Jacob the fisherman, keen to share his fishing experiences. All in all very professional and nice people. Klas and the management team took special care of our questions and remarks, which was greatly appreciated. The location of the guest house is also well situated, a few minutes from the supermarket. So we'd recommend this place without any reserve and would come back again without a glimpse of hesitation.

Wonderful stay at Abisko guest house !

I stayed at the Abisko Guesthouse for 5 nights - I highly recommend it! It is close to the train station and grocery store, and they offer by far the best activities in Abisko. Their guides are friendly and very knowledgeable, and will go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience. The front desk staff is also amazing and very helpful. 

Abisko is a great place to see the Northern Lights and enjoy Arctic activities, and you will enjoy your stay at the Abisko Guesthouse.

Great Trip to Abisko

Thank you for upgrading our stay to the entire house! The interior feels cosy and homely, kitchen is well equipped with a beautiful view of the lake while having our meals.
Guide Vylan(hope is the right spelling) is fun and friendly, giving us an unforgettable experience. He is well prepared with hot lingonberry juice! Which is awesome!!

Memorable experience in abisko guesthouse

Book with the guesthouse itself to get the best rates and advice for the rooms. Rasa is patient and helpful. She advised on the room we should get and we are very satisfied with it. A short walk to the only supermarket in Abisko and lake is easily accessible from the guesthouse. Enjoyed the activities we booked with them too. 

Enjoyable Stay

The location is great.
It's near the train station, supermarket and walkable to the lake. The Aurora sky station is 2 km from the guesthouse.

Room is simple, no frill but fully equipped with kitchen, living area and 1 bedroom.
There is a common area with kitchen, washing machine as well.

There is a lot of activities which arrange by the guesthouse. We chose Aurora BBQ. It's lovely BBQ dinner in Sami's hut behind the guesthouse. Once we finished we chased aurora together and found it.

Staffs are lovely, kind and helpful.

Nice accomodation with friendly staffs

Magical experience. Great place to stay. We stayed in family apartment. Self catered, superstore nearby. Book directly to get the best price. Amazing views. Go here if you wish the unbelievable Northern light experience.
We didn’t take any tour. They provided all warm clothing, shoes etc. for duration of stay.
