This is a wonderful hostel, located in an idyllic setting! The rooms were clean & comfortable, as was everything else in the hostel, and our host, Lotten, was gracious, kind, and informative! Our fellow hostel guests were very friendly, too, which was an added bonus!  My sister and I traveled there for a wedding, and we rented an electric car in Stockholm to get to both the hostel and the wedding...and the hostel even had a car charger on site! All in all, a memorable experience in a beautiful setting!!!

Lovely Hostel and lovely hospitality in Edsbyn, Sweden!

Had a lovely stay here, everything worked out perfectly. Great breakfast, needs to be preordered, good facilities, focus on the environment, pet friendly rooms, quiet, calm surroundings - perfect for a get away any time of year.

Perfect country hostel

I in Edsbyn. I was delighted by the charm of the house, its unique spirit, calm surroundings and the warm-heartness of the owners! If you add delicious food to all of this, it makes STF an outstanding place to stay and enjoy the Swedish countryside as much as you wish! I highly recommend this place to everyone who's looking for some rest and picturesque landscapes :) Hope to be back soon! 

Swedish paradise! 

Spent a night here in July 2015, as part of a shorter road trip around Sweden. The house is very much traditional for the region, and the staff friendly and helpful. Although not on par with a modern hostel, STF Vandrarhem Edsbyn has a very quaint ambiance and I especially liked the wood stove in the kitchen (only an ornament, there is a modern one as well). My one concern was the lack of sound proofing, as every step taken upstairs was clearly heard through the ceiling of my room. All in all I would recommend staying here, more for peace and quiet (it's in the middle of nowhere), and the old-worldly feel than anything.
