What a fantastic place! First thing to say is that when it’s -12 degrees outside, you welcome the cosy warmth of the rooms and the lodge where you eat and relax. The fire was always lit and gave it a magical feel to the place. 
The food was gorgeous - buffet breakfast, a hearty soup for lunch and 3 courses at dinner. All homemade and top quality. 
The staff were so lovely! Everybody was only too happy to answer questions and chat. 
The nighttime snow shoeing tour was spectacular and yes, we did see the Aurora which made it even more special. 
The husky sledding was one of the best experiences ever - the dogs are so well looked after and absolutely love their jobs! Their excitement was infectious! 
We finished our 4 days with a tour of the Ice Hotel on our way back from the airport - we’ll worth it. It was spectacular.

Absolutely magical!

We are a French family of 5 from Lille and during the uncertain times of COVID in February 2021, we decided to plan a week-long trip to Swedish Lapland within a two-week delay. We found out about True Nature Sweden on the internet and contacted William to help us organize the trip of our dreams. He was very informed and helped us choose from a multitude of options to what suited us best—a lodge in the nature near Kiruna, which was above the polar circle so even better for seeing the northern lights (which was one of our wishes). We also got to choose a variety of activities to fill up the week. William is clearly well-connected within the tourism industry and as such has many experiences to offer, all with knowledgeable insight as he himself has done many of these experiences. He was able to offer us a 48-hour full refund policy, which was an incredible comfort in the midst of COVID.

When we got to the airport, Franziska—the owner of the Lappeasuando lodge—was waiting to pick us all up. A very pleasant and kind person, Franziska happily answered all of our questions and proved to be very responsive to our needs. It was a very well-kept cute and cozy lodge in the heart of Lapland (we had two rooms amongst us). It was extremely cold upon our arrival (-17 degrees) and we came very prepared, but even we took advantage of the equipements of Lappeasuando lodge with one-piece snowsuits, gloves, and boots in all the sizes imaginable! Every day we had delicious meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) at the cafeteria.

The two days of dogsledding with the wonderful guides as well as spending one night at the wilderness lodge, even further disconnected from the modern world, was incredible. We liked snowmobiling, so much so that we wanted to do it again on our second-to-last day. We told Franziska about this, and even though they were booked, she got into contact with colleagues and they were able to transport us to the snowmobiling near Kiruna.

We had great activity and movement-filled days whether it be hiking (snowshoes), cross-country skiing, ice fishing, dog sledding, snowmobiling and most importantly: sightseeing. After a long day in the cold taiga, we would go to the sauna with Swedish beer and cool off between rounds in the ice-cold snow, all whilst looking for the Northern lights (which we were able to see every night in the second half of the week). It was literally a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Note: we were very lucky to be able to see the Northern lights during our week-long stay as it depends on many factors to be able to see them.

All in all, Franziska and her team deserve nothing but success in the way they operate: kindness, responsiveness, adaptability……

Wanna have an rexaing time in an cozy wooden house? Need a break within pure nature? Love to cook eggs and ham on an wooden stove? Then this litte stuge at the Lappeasuando Lodge in Sweden Lapland might be your place. I had a very enjoying time here.

Lapplands most cozy Stuga

Wonderful stay. Fabulous staff and food, fulfilling outdoor activities. The place to go if you would like to see the northern lights and enjoy the Artic way of life.
I loved my stay at this place so much that I booked it a second time a couple of years later to see the midnight sun.

Outstanding

What a fabulous place. It is situated brilliantly with immediate access to forest trails and lakes, I’ve never seen stars so bright. We got to see the Northern Lights (the previous week someone said they were every night). The food is excellent, hearty, the chefs Niels and Bart were keen to please. There’s a real home from home air about the place, very informal, very relaxed. From a practical point of view, if you are prone to cold hands then definitely bring some hand warmers (not just gloves) and note your electric toothbrush charger may be useless....and bring a travel kettle if you like a brew first thing. 
The Lodge provide the most amazing boots, we did not have cold feet the whole time. Like everyone, we fell in love with the huskies and our trips with them were the highlight. Whilst you are not forced to partake in any of the activities, and you don’t have to be super fit, you do need a reasonable degree of physical fitness to make the most of it. Likewise, if you don’t like dogs, you won’t get the most out of the husky trip, as helping to harness them and feed them (and cuddle them) is all part of it. 
We are sitting here in the airport looking at the photos we took and wishing we were still there.

Wonderful memories....

Well what can I say...? This place is truly amazing, fantastic experiences (Husky Mushing, Show Shoe walks, Ski Mobiling etc.) but it is the people that make it so special, from the friendly welcome by Francesca, the amazing food loving prepared by Neils and the wonderful walks with Alex, Bart and Barbara, to the adorable driver Walter...and then there’s Matts, the Husky Guru who’s stare can make grown men weep but when he congratulates you on your harnessing skills it’s like getting a handshake from God.
Thank you to everyone at Lappeasuando Lodge for an amazing holiday and I hope to see you again one day...


Amazing place and memorable people!

My stay at Lappeasuando was absolutely phenomenal. Originally, I planned to stay in Porjus but due to waiting last minute to book, the best bang for my buck seemed to be Lappeasuando. And oh, was it. After a slew of bad Airbnb’s in my Scandinavian vacation, Lappeasuando was a golden egg. We arrived after hours and there was a key waiting for us (attached to an antler - what a cute touch). After unpacking in our room I decided to go outside to check out how clear the sky was. Stars everywhere, and to my delight the northern lights starting a show. I grabbed my brother and my camera and we watched the lights as they put on an incredible display. Once it was done we went inside but I checked a few more times before bed and the lights were calmly hovering over the horizon the rest of the night. LAPPEASUANDO IS AMAZING! Stay here if you can. Remote, quaint, and cozy.

Great spot for stargazing, and if you’re lucky - the northern lights!

From the moment we arrived our stay was excellent. We had booked through a UK tour company but with hindsight wish we had gone direct as Franziska  and her team made our stay perfect. The food was excellent with buffet style breakfast and delicious 3 course evening meals. We did a skimobile tour with Bart who not only was an excellent tour guide but great cook in the restaurant. Highly recommend a stay here and thanks to all for your hospitality which made our stay perfect from start to finish. 

Fantastic Stay

We stayed here for a week in January for a winter week organised by a Uk travel agency that specialises In dogsledding. The owners collected us from Kiruna airport. The lodge is just off the main road but we did not notice any noise at night. Cabin style rooms were clean functional and warm. TV did not work but was available in relaxation room so not a problem. Internet was unavailable for a day and a half but we hadnt come to read emails. We did three days of dogsledding which was fantastic, a day of snow shoeing with guide a night in a wilderness cabin and spent one afternoon visiting ice hotel and Sami experience. Food was excellent although we would have liked more local dishes. Snow mobiling and ice fishing were also available. sauna was also nice and clean. On one occasion the owner was badly let down by a contractor but Franziska was very quick to sort and our holiday wasnt affected much. Equipment such as hats gloves overalls was also available. A nicer communal room with open fire would have been great. Overall we liked this and have taken away some great memories.
