Stayed for one night in July 2023 with my husband. 
Check-in was smooth, friendly front desk receptionist explained everything we needed to know for the stay.
The room was nice and clean, with the amenities you expect from a city centre hotel. In our room were three single beds, reading lights, a window with blackout curtains, a small desk and chair, side tables, a wardrobe, a full-length mirror, smart TV. The bathroom had a good size shower with good water pressure and temperature, a toilet and a sink. No place to put toiletries, but that was not a problem for us.
Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, sausages and beans, toast, rolls, ham and cheese, various sweet spreads, boiled eggs and fresh-cut vegetables, cereals, juice and coffee. Good selection of breakfast staples.
Positive: The hotel is dog friendly, we met a gorgeous labrador at breakfast. So, if you are not a dog lover you may want to check your surroundings. 
Accessibility can be a challenge at the hotel, as there are steps up from street level to reception. There is a lift but it's small, a wheelchair user may find it difficult to get in and out. The restaurant where breakfast is served is in the basement and consists of several small rooms joined together, and a person with mobility issues may struggle to get around all the nooks and crannies. 


Charming dog friendly hotel in prime location 

Extremely small room with barely any room to breathe. The shower is too small with a large gap between the floor and the shower door so be prepared for a flooding near the washbasin. Toilet is at an angle (no clue why). Whoever designed this hotel either needs to have his architecture license revoked or is a 3 year old playing with Lego. The only positive is its central location.

How to experience living in a cell

Very hot inside and we had to have the window open -and all the noise from the city nightlife, the renovation of the house next door (and all the crazy seagulls next door). It would have been good to have a fan so one could have the windows closed, but unfortunately there was no one to borrow.
There were people outside the entrance smoking, and the smoke went straight in to out room on the first floor.
Ok to share toilets, but they were far too small. You sit with your head down in the sink while sitting on the toilet.
In our room there were water pipes and when someone showered there was a loud noise coming from the pipes in our room, like a  drill.
I have never rated poorly before and we have stayed in many low budget hotels. But never have we paid almost SEK 1700 (170 dollars) for one night and not getting any sleep.
We wrote and complained to get some kind of compensation, but they never replied.
Worst hotel experience ever.


No sleep because of loud noise!

Our room was small enough that it was hard to walk to the other side of the bed. There was only a soap dispenser by the washbasin and not in the shower. Our TV did not work and they knew it but did not tell us untill we complained. They did not clean the rooms or even check if we needed new toilet paper so we had to go fetch it ourselves the this day we stayed. The last day three hour before checkout time our keycards stopt working and the staff had to let us in to our room. They had no idea why this happened. The breakfast was okey but one of the worst hotel breakfasts I have had. When we checked in the first day there was dirt in the corners of the room and one of the sheets had a small hole in it.

Dirty and small room but nice staff.

Simple budget hotel centrally located, a stone's throw from Avenyn. Peaceful and quiet in the hotel despite full occupancy and central location.

Simply furnished room with flat screen TV and wifi. Smaller breakfast buffet.

If you wish normal hotel standard, you should choose another hotel.

Centrally located

The room was very Basic with wooden floor and minimal furniture. The breakfast had an average selection, but the cook prepared freshly made eggs and bacon. The best thing is the location near the Avenyn.

Inexpensive hotel near Avenyn

We have only stayed a night, still felt pity that this "was" a nice hotel in long time ago which lack of maintenances obviously, also you could easily annoyed by other tenants because of the poor isolations between room. However, I still give 3 stars to the hotel because of the friendly staffs. I would say if I knew the conditions there, I would rather to pay more for a better place. 

It was a nice hotel! 

I spent a week at City Hotel as the handball team I am coaching were participating in the Partille cup. The hotel is located very close to Heden; one of the main arenas for the tournament; so that was quite okay. Other than that the hotel was not much worth mentioning. 
My room was cleaned every day; which in one way is nice, though at the same time not at all necessary. However; the cleaning was, and has probably been done the same way for years. There was still alot of dust and dirt on the floor, under the bed, under the window etc. 
As it was quite warm this time, I also asked if it was possible to upgrade (hopefully to a room with a/c), though this was not possible. Also quite noisy during the nights; so I felt I had to sleep with the window closed. 
The staff was pretty much nice and friendly.

Nice location; not so nice hotel.

The best of this hotel is the location very close to restaurants, pubs, night clubs and walking distance to some touristic attractions.
The hotel itself for one or two nights is ok. The bedrooms are small and the shower and toilets were shared and not very clean.
The staff is helpful you can get hair dryer in the front desk and the breakfast is simple, no fruits.
