Hotel where we stopped by just for a bit, the room was very nice and they have a kitchen on each floor to cook and eat, nice and clean bathroom, dear as a hotel, and the sauna was not working, which is why I give three stars, for the price paid at least the sauna look how it works... for the rest everything very well

Nice but the sauna has to go!!

Even the village is small then the check-in site was littlebit difficult to find. It is a separate house than the rooms are located, but there the friendly staff guided it perfectly to where to go and how to work. The place was really neat and quiet. On short distances there are shopping areas, a fine riverside jogging and a few eating places. Everything was in line with the descriptions.

The breakfast was included in the price and was quite good. I was missing about the lack of warm food (for example oatmeal), but for example. bread, fruits, vegetables and drinks was a lot of variety to offer.

So, if you are in the direction of Haparanda for a pass or a shopping trip, this is all a cheap and comfortable place for one night. It's hard to imagine that no one would spend more days here, but one night I can recommended.

One night choice

Very good room for a moderate price. The room standard is as in a hotel (at least in the building “Skytten”) with the exception that you have to make your bed. The reception has poor opening hours but this is managed in an effective way. Very clean. Spacious shower place. There is a small distance to walk to the breakfast. It is easy to park your car in the adjacent streets. Haparanda is a very small town where it is easy to walk your dog. Very good breakfast that even includes oatmeal porridge. It is possible to buy beverages, nuts and similar things in an automat where you can use a credit card. There are several places to go for eating in the evening. Try “Haparanda Stadshotell” if you want a reindeer dish. Wi-Fi is fast and not password protected. Our dog was charged for 150 SEK which is a bit expensive. However, the room price was so low that the total price still is attractive.

Affordable, comfortable room in the city area

The Svefi Hotel in the Swedish/Finnish twin city of Haparanda/Tornio offers a great starting point for trips to Sweden, where you should make a stopover to Finland. The cheap hotel where I have already stayed twice is located in the centre of Haparandas Town Hall, where the reception is located directly in the town hall and the room itself is located in a side building (a nice small wooden house in a quiet location) on the other side of the square. In 10 minutes you can reach the bus station at the border and on the Finnish side there is a shopping centre for food. The reception is closed on weekends so that you only have to lock a large key in the box.

Great starting point

We lived in the Skytten building, it is at the opposite end of the square from the main building of the hotel. This is a place where you usually only need to stay overnight, and for these purposes it is quite an acceptable option. I can't say that there was not enough convenience, although everything was quite simple. It is important to know that you have to somehow warn the hotel (we wrote in the mail) so that if you don't come during the reception, you can also get information about access to the hotel or its building. Breakfast is also in a separate building, typical for staying at this level. It is not quite clear where you can park a car for free, but you can park it at the main building, we saw it in the morning.

Comfort enough for reasonable money

The reception is not working, but the keys are left (they send a letter with the access code to the building) or they arrive quickly by phone. The Russian-speaking (Russian, as we understood :)) employee Alexey is great!

It's just, clean, in the middle.

Very very bad. Way too expensive and there was horrible smell in the rooms. 
The breakfastbuilding was many blocks away. Had to ask my money back and go somewhere else. There's way much better HOTEL just couple kilometers away.

Could be a nice place for people looking for VERY cheap motel, but was so expencive.

IF you don't get it under 50€/per night DONT go.

The prices of hotels in northern Sweden and Finland are crazy, while the comfort and quality of services leave the best to be desired... say in St. Petersburg for such a price you can live in a pretty decent five.. Stayed at this hotel because you had to spend a few days in the neighbouring Tornio, in Finland, but the prices are even higher there. The only option is cheaper - also in Hapaland, Vardagshemm, but this is a motel, so Swefi was the only option for me.. Hotel without claims, old buildings and furniture, but clean and quiet. There is also a kitchen.

Cheaper is hard to find

It's very difficult to call it a hotel. It's a motel. We stayed for one night, there's no reception, at least on the weekend there's no one there. The key was taken out of the box, it opens with a PIN code. Full self-service. The rooms are very narrow and located in a completely different building, not in the way that it's in the photos. The furniture in the rooms is like a student dormitory, even the bedding lay apart and you had to make the bed yourself. It's not difficult to do, of course, but for that kind of money, it's not possible. Breakfast was in a separate building. You had to look at a map. The hotel wasn't worth the money spent.

The price does not match the quality of the services.

That was the most stupid and tasteless hotel we have ever been!!!!!!!!!!
Very old building, small room with cheapest furniture from Ikea without any taste or style. A lot of cheap color plastic details what will better fit to kids room. If you see all this you understand that hotel is extremely overpriced. If you want to have breakfast you have to drive. Because they have restaurant in other building what is not so close. Never more!
