It was a nice experience! It’s actually the oldest hotel in the town, and some people say it’s haunted, however we haven’t seen any ghosts. :) The breakfast was excellent, the beds were comfortable, but in my opinion the room was a little bit small for two people.

Haunted Hotel(?)

Very small hotel. No evening meals but breakfast was fine. 

They text you code to get into the hotel as no one works there in the evening. 

Parking is at the back of the hotel and not so well signed. 

Had food and a drink in the bell pub about 500m from the hotel. 

One night stay 

Our room was clean, quiet and nicely furnished. The breakfast was a nice variety and well presented.  Lots of good coffee.
If we ever return to Hudinsvall, we will stay at this hotel.  Hudiksvall is wonderful and the people we met were very friendly and helpful.   A couple of ladies in a downtown dress shop even tried to help me with my family search.

Clean and cozy

It seems like they have started to refurbish the hotel, the whole front was covered in plastic. That made it a little bit difficult to find the entrance. This is this kind of automated hotel, you get a code on SMS to open the door. The parking was at the backside of the hotel, not easy to find, and it was  a sign in Swedish that told you that the parking spaces were reserved, but the hotel had 2 marked places. The furniture in room looked like it had been bought in a flee marked. Hopefully, they will get some new furnture after refurbishing. The  hotel was expensive for what we got. We had first made a booking through booking.com, but had to cancel due to change in plans. The price then was around 700 SEK. When I made a new booking, I had no acess to internet, so I had to make by phone. When I came to pay the bill, it was over 1000 SEK. I was told that the room I had first booked, was without shower and toilet. (Next day I paid 900 SEK for a 4-star hotel in Luleå)

A hotel that needs to be renewed

Superb location right opposite train and bus station and close to town, therefore ideal for going out and about, whether walking or by transport. My room was pretty and quaint. Breakfast was nice and all freshly prepared. 

Comfy beds, tasty breakfast

Friendly, cosy, looking back in time (cracking stairs and old-time details). Close to railwaystation and shops. Enormous kitchen with all facilities. Breakfast is and ordinary and good Swedish-style. WiFi works perfect.
