Firstly, this hotel is confusing to find because the name is not on the outside of the hotel! Very odd. Once inside however, the hotel looks exactly as it appears on the internet. Our room had twin beds, unusually, not next to each other as generally found but one in an alcove and the other in the corner diagonally opposite. They were set up with the headboards so you can’t see each other, again, a little odd, but we did have two windows and two radiators in the room, so that may have made bed placement difficult. The room however had good beds and bedding, enough storage and blackout curtains. There was no table or desk but you can request one from reception which we did and it was supplied immediately.
Fixture placement in the bathroom was also a bit cramped with a huge basin impeding access to the loo but the fittings were good quality with plenty of hot water and good toiletries and towels.
Breakfast was in the restaurant downstairs and was pretty good. Standard hot food buffet options, a selection of cold local produce and a nicely presented, spacious eating area.
We stayed two nights and it was very comfortable. Free parking right outside. Recommended.

Quality room in a great location

A simple and pleasant hotel with everything needed for a short stay. Good breakfast for a hotel of its size. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is located right in the middle of the town, close to everything and no problems with parking.

Pleasant one night stay

The hotel was well situated in town. We were extremely pleased with the helpfulness of the staff. When we checked in, we were welcomed to a complimentary light dinner at the restaurant. 
The room was small, but had everything we needed. I wish there was additional sound proofing in the rooms, as we could easily hear every conversation in the neighboring room. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable. 
They also offered a breakfast, which was small but tasty.

Nice hotel in rural town

Old fashioned small hotel in a very good condition. Jokkmokk is a charming small place and the hotel is within walking distance from the sights and the few restaurants the town has. The single room was on the small side but it was quiet and I could sleep well. Good Internet connection. Very nice breakfast. 

Very good 

The hotel had been renewed and it really looks great. Our room was small but very clean and cozy. Personal is super nice and helpful. We are vegetarians and they had food prepared for us (thanks for that!). The chimney area is also really cozy and you can book the sauna for yourself without any cost. The hotel is located centrally and you can walk to other restaurants in town. If I go back to Jokkmokk again, I will stay there again.

Great stay over New Year´s Eve

Such a great cosy hotel. Highly recommend staying in Hotel Akerlund. They do everything to make your stay comfortable with a great breakfast and tea/coffee machine for use during the day. The lobby has an open fire which makes the whole hotel very cosy. The rooms are clean and simple but everything you would need. I would recommend combining your stay here with one of the dog sledding tours with Jokkmokkguiderna. 

Cosy little hotel

Exceeding expections. Very nice breakfast, local options included. Excellent and friendly staff. The room was tidy and cozy. The sauna was also nice and free, we also appreciate that we were able to buy drinks for the sauna. Would recommend. 

Restful night after a long hike in the wilderness.

A two-night stay turned out to be a lovely, relaxed rest after our mountain trek in Sarek/Padjelanta. Very friendly, sweet staff, I even got my totally muddy trekking pants washed overnight. This is as far as you can get from anonymous chain hotels.

Single room was small, but bed was excellent, window  openable and bathroom spotless with local hygiene products.

Reception/lobby has a big fireplace and room to sit in the evening, there´s free tea, coffee and cookies, a microwave and place to eat (restaurant was still closed due to covid).
Breakfast was great, the best scrambled eggs I ever had. If I have to name one thing though that can improve, it is the selection of bread. 

Conveniently located 7-10 minutes by foot from world class museum Ajtte, restaurants, handicraft shops, food stores, etc.

Friendly staff, cozy and relaxed atmosphere

Very nice and helpful young girl at the reception. Small, newly renovated and warm room. We got a room near the stairs. Jokkmokk is a very small village so it was close to everything. We had read that it was a very mediocre breakfast but it seems that the hotel took the criticism and they served a perfectly ok breakfast. However, it was served very late, at 8. Not good for us who want to get away early. Nice sauna area in the basement. Unfortunately we can not give the hotel higher than three stars given the relatively high price.

A little too expensive

This hotel was such a wonderful surprise. We arrived here with no preconceived ideas and was so delighted we wished we could have stayed longer. The staff are so warm and friendly, the hotel has been lovingly refurbished, the food (yes it is included) was amazing and it is right in town. There is a warm cozy lounge, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. The town is as wonderful and full of incredible goods to buy. Thank you for making us feel like we had come home.
