Amazing place to stay, rooms are clean and comfortable. Wet room bathroom. Sauna is lovely, mostly empty. Location is very close to the train station and you can book tours that start from here easily. 
Great breakfast, that can be gluten free.
Soup lunch needs to be booked in advance of your stay! 
Dinner is amazing food again easily gluten free.

Great place to stay

The rooms are simple but the location is superb. It's a fantastic location to see the aurora borealis, and there are beautiful hiking (or x/c ski) trails right there and nearby. My wife and I are foodies, and we were quite pleased with the dining here. We also liked the attitude of the staff and were pleased by the array of tourist services they are able to offer. We absolutely loved it and plan to return.

Far and away your best choice for Abisko

This is a magic place! The staff are so kind, helpful and serviceminded. The room was super. And the food....excellent! We so enjoyed that the chef has decided to compose dishes based on local ingrediens (arctic char, smoked reindeer, cloudberry etc).  One of the the best trips we ever made!

Magical!!!

I got to Abisko through flight to Stockholm then Kiruna, then took the train to Abisko. I had the time of my life, enjoying the delicious Swedish cuisine at their restaurant, the cozy drinks at the lobby with other guests, and most importantly had so much fun in all the activities! I only spent two days but I snowmobiled, ice climbed, snow walked, and got a guided tour

This is such a special place. Came here for dinner two nights as part of a Northern Lights tour, and the food and service were superb on both occasions. First night I had 'eldost' (Swedish cheese) and the second night Arctic char for main course. Crisp breads for starter and ice cream with cloudberries for dessert. All delicious. The atmosphere is so warm and cosy, and the staff are lovely. Also recommend having a drink or two in the bar lounge next door – they have some interesting local craft beers and cocktails like cloudberry spritz and lingonberry mojito. On both occasions, the Northern Lights were already active and dancing outside by the time we'd finished eating!

+tive:-  A very enjoyable meal. A limited, but very good selection. Very tasty. Recommend the Moose starter followed by Reindeer - Excellent.

-tive: - High price for very poor Quality. Room was definitely not a Superior. Walls are paper-thin. One can hear every movement in the adjoining rooms, even their breathing. Heating was turned on full and room still very cold. If one was staying in a Hostel, thats about the comfort zone, but ten times more expensive.Was not informed that each Monday there is a "no water' for showering due to maintenance work every monday in the whole village. When asked at front desk - was informed, jokingly, its every Monday fro only 10 minutes....well, expect about an hour. My recommendation - find another Hotel.

Very Disappointed

Stayed with friends for a four night stay on a Northern Lights trip. Helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were simple, clean, and warm... not that we spent much time in them, as there was too much to do with the activities we had booked. Excellent food - hot and cold buffet breakfast, including Ginger shots, started us off well for the day. A simple lunch provided for residents of home-made soup and a lovely range of breads. Evening dinner was lovely, prepared by the excellent chefs. A limited menu, but sufficient for our short stay, of traditional fare prepared and served beautifully. I did enjoy the smoked moose tartare. The waiting staff carefully explained each dish they were serving. While most of us were in 'winter' wear, the restaurant is somewhere back home we would dress up for a family occasion. Do not miss the opportunity to sample their great cocktails also while relaxing in the bar.  A thoroughly enjoyable stay, with many good memories.

A Welcoming Place

Stayed here for 4 nights whilst on a Northern Lights holiday.  The lodges main bedrooms are warm & comfortable albeit not luxurious, with ensuite wet room.  The lounge and bar area is relaxing and friendly.  The restaurant offered a  buffet style breakfast & lunch, plus served gourmet evening meals.  All the food was of a high quality, freshly made & tasty.  The location is great, with Snowmobiling, Huskey Sleigh rides literately next door.   All the staff were friendly and helpful.  Overall a very enjoyable stay

Great Location  excellent service & food

My wife and I have just returned from a long weekend, trying to cross the Northern Lights off our bucket list, staying at the Abisko Mountain Lodge.  We booked through Weekend à la Carte and all arrangements were to their high standard.  Every aspect of the Lodge exceeded our expectations.  We stayed in a superior room, which was spacious and comfortable.  I have never stayed in a hotel where every member of staff was so helpful, friendly, happy to talk and clearly enjoying their work.  They were an absolute joy.  I had read reviews of the brasserie that were good but, again, the standard greatly exceeded our expectations.  The menu included moose, reindeer, salmon, arctic char, cloudberries and other regional dishes I hoped to see.  The detail in every plate of food and the layers of flavours were impressive.  Many Michelin starred restaurants where I have dined have not reached this standard.  
The Lodge was the perfect base for Aurora photography, dog sledding, snowmobiling, a visit to the Sky Station and a trek through the National Park.  
It was an unforgettable long weekend break.

First time here to view the national park and see the northern lights, and visit the sky station, which was disappointing and I will review separately. This lodge gives you free weather gear and at minus -27 its tried and tested. You can book huskies trips and snow mobile experiences from here but we did that at the ice hotel (separate review ). Here the accommodation is spotlessly clean. The staff are warm and welcoming and will go the extra mile, all are under 30 and clearly enjoy their jobs and it reflects in both communication and service.  The restaurant and chef, well I have eaten in Gordon Ramsey and fine dining in London, and worldwide, but the food here that these chefs serve consistently at the evening meal (with limited access being so far north and from supplies, is some of the best meals we have tasted world wide. Its worthy of a Michelin star. Don’t expect a massive choice (Gordon R always says this) but produce what the best standard and this is the absolute best. We as a four would travel here just to eat. The bonus was the service, yes wine is expensive but so is Scandinavia in comparison to Uk, but its the quality and service you pay for which is all exceptional here. Yes we saw the lights, natures magic, but the magic is in the staff here and you will find the norse gods in the chefs.
