Ronneby

Hotell Villa Vesta was an enchanting homely and old-worldly embracing experience. Hanna made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The rooms of this historic house are cosy and have a no-nonsense farm-house feel. Situated perfectly for a 15-minute stroll to either the famous Ronneby park and spa, or into the town centre and its historic quarter, and the handful of restaurants. Johanna arrives well before dawn to prepare a simple yet delicious breakfast for all guests to enjoy in the sun-room overlooking the canal, or in the vintage decorated dining room. They made the extra special effort of rising early to take me, themselves, to the airport for that early flight back to Stockholm, rather than rely on the scant availability of the local taxi. A lovely stay with the unique charm and experience you don't get at the big-chain hotels.

Villa Vesta - charming and cosy

Charming and quiet little hotel with patina in the ”Blekan” area consisting of spectacular old villas from late 19th century. A kind of old ”sommerpension” atmosphere. Stayed in a nice standard room on 1st floor with view to Ronnebyån. Low ceiling as often seen in older houses but quite cosy and comfortable. Bathroom functional but could need an upgrade. Nice breakfast served in the cosy "good old days" sitting room & veranda with view to Ronnebyån. Very friendly hosts.

Charming

We loved the hotel. The service was first class, with an unusual kindness. The rooms were very comfortable, and the cook who served us at breakfast prepared some really delicious scrambled eggs with bacon that we all loved. Breakfast in the living room overlooking the garden was very relaxing.

An excellent hotel in Ronneby. Friendly atmosphere and a delicious breakfast. Spacious room with comfortable beds. Close to Ronneby brunnspark where you can have a walk in beautiful surroundings. The golf course is within walking distance. Highly recommended. We will be back.

Christmas in Blekinge

Wonderful smallish hotel with nice hosts, nice rooms and good breakfast in a nice Swedish veranda. The best is the location near Brunspark, easy to reach and not far from such wonderful places like Almö or Tjärō, or The Sotheastern tip of Sweden near Karlskrona.
Just the Swedish beds, all too soft....

Super!

We stayed one night at this lovely hotel in July 2018. The hosts are some of the nicest we have ever met in a hotel - and we have met many! Helpful, pleasant, very interested in making our stay the perfect one. The hotel is small and with a ton of charm! We had a nice room overlooking the river Ronneby, the beds were very good! Fridge and coffee and tea making facilities iin the room. The breakfast is a great experience, like getting into the kitchen of someone you know well and who have put a lot of love in preparing the breakfast. Listen to the nice creaking in the floor! Eat the breakfast outdoors in the morning sun, if the weather and the season allow. This is a very special place, a place that is important to take care of in a time when big chain hotels are taking more and more of the market.

Outstanding!

Ronneby was an important bathing and spa town around 1900. Many wonderful and ornate youth style houses in this place bear witness to this high flowering. In the small but fine Villa Vesta Hotel time seems to stand still.

A small dream hotel

This is a small hotel in one of the old guest houses from the spa days.  It’s on the river although the views across the river are to the industrial area.  It’s a few minutes walk from the station on the other side of the river, and a few minutes walk in the other direction to the wonderful Brunnspark.

Reception has limited hours but once you get the key, you’re fine.  Breakfast is a decent continental spread and eating on the balcony is great if the morning sun isn’t too strong.  No other meals available - they have a deal with a nearby restaurant but you can walk to town easily.

I had a cute room with a nice bed and decent bathroom (the cheap rooms have a shared bathroom).  Wifi was often slower than using my phone.  Not much else in the room.  Overall quite a pleasant stay and the price was a lot lower than the hotels that I was looking at in Karlskrona.

Lovely hotel by the river

There are 2 excellent features that make this guesthouse stand out as a place to stay: 1) the location by the river, near the station & next to some stunning mansions and 2) the breakfast is delicious and has every imaginable ingredient. I didn't give it a 5 because of the shared bathroom but otherwise this is a brilliant place to stay.

Everything about this B&B was excellent.  The location, the room, the bed, the excellent welcome and exceptional breakfast prepared by Britt-Marie. Take time to wander down to the Brunnspark.  Totally recommended by us.
