Beautiful campsite along the wild baltic sea. Pitches are grassy and sometimes sandy protected from the offshore winds by a dune and delimited by trees and hedges. Booking is a must during summer holidays. But the staff is not particularly friendly. You can also rent a cabin. Easy access from Ystad, but more complex from the north. The small and winding road can be challenging for big motorhomes. WC and showers are basic but features all the essentiels. We paid 335SEK for 4 adultes and a camper / night. Be aware that when the campsite is full, you can land on an nearby field but without the same comfort.

Beach camping

I tried to call them twice to book ahead. Both times, I was put on hold for over 15 minutes while I could hear them help different customers. So eventually I hung up and we decided to just drive up there. After having to wait for quite a while because the girl behind the counter was having a private phone call, she told me the camping was full. When I asked her if there would be a place available the next day, all she said was "I don't know". I asked her if she could maybe check if there were people checking out the next day. But then she said "You can call us tomorrow". We were sent to an extra "campsite" they have: the sport field of a school. There were no facilities there other than the showers and toilets that belonged to the school. Since there was no restaurant I asked her if she knew if the restaurants in town would still be open. And again all I got was "I don't know". 
The next day when we went back to pay (200 SEK!!) I told the lady behind the desk that I was a bit disappointed by their service. She didn't even bother to apologize...

After living in Sweden for over a year, my experience is that the Swedes are extremely helpful, polite and friendly but I found the people at Tobisviks Camping simply just rude. It's not a cheap camping and the fact that they are the only camping in Simrishamn, does not mean they can treat their customers like crap.
