The hotel and restaurant is in the middle of Österlen and makes it a good base for going around. People working there are very nice, and the food (we tried only breakfast) was nice. Rooms really small and old, with a terrible internet connection, so we had to buy extra 4G. The price is a bit high for what they offer but we enjoyed our stay of a couple of days.

Nice base for a tour of the area

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, nothing within walking distance except open fields. We had a small room in the garden, average but clean and charming. Very good breakfast and the ladies working was just lovely. Didn’t try dinner but seemed very nice too. 

Small and cozy

We really liked it here! The staff was really friendly, taking their time to talk to all guests. Our room was nice but since it was next to the kitchen we heard some noise from there. It wasn’t an issue though, as they closed early. Breakfast was something extra. The dinner menus were great with excellent wine recommendations! Unfortunately, there seemed to be a bit of capacity problems when the restaurant was fully seated, and the waitress was a bit reluctant to the espresso machine... Nevertheless, we would like to come back soon!

Janne, Peter and team, thanks for an outstanding evening! We keep on being amazed with your food Peter, you are an extremely talented chef and that combined with such a friendly service, it can’t be better:). Keep on your great work and we will be visiting soon again!

What a start of the season!

We spent a fabulous autumn weekend here, perfect place for rewinding. Everything is very tastefully designed, beautiful rooms and very friendly and service-minded staff. 
We especially appreciated the small court yards where we had our breakfasts and stayed for hours reading books and petting the owners beautiful Puli dogs.
The cuisine is surprisingly good, our weekend packages included two totally delicious three course dinners. 
We also enjoyed the short walk through the enormous farmlands to the sea, great views over the beautiful sand beach.

Charming and relaxing weekend getaway with gourmet experiences

We stayed at Karnelund a few years ago. It was love at the very first sight. Now were returned to see if Karnelund is still the same charming place. And yes, it is. Karnelund is chic and cozy, an atmosphere is special and food to die for. This is an experience you want to cherish in your heart. 

Excellent - again

In the little town Gislöv you will find the Karnelund restaurant. The decor of the restaurant is modern without over doing it, from first second you feel warm welcome. Starting with a drink in the courtyard, beautiful weather, great Cava. The menu is based on two selections but you can easily choose what you want. The menu can be followed by a wine menu. Everything about the food and wine is high class, not top gourmet, but really good style, a tasty evening, and you want to come back, can highly recommend this place.
