Super friendly staff, good location and nice breakfast. Like a few already mentioned the walls are quite thin but other than that everything was nice for a bed and breakfast. It’s good value for the money so would definitely recommend! 

Cute place with friendly staff

The room was clean, but small, not a lot of space to move, still functional. I know it's a B&B, but the room looked a little bit dated. There are a lot of hooks in the room to hang clothes that covers for the absence of storage space. At night, we heard our neighbors in the other room, but it was not that bad. The bed was not very sturdy, it looked like to bed joined together by a mattress on top. It didn't deliver the best night sleep. 

The bathroom was fine, it looks, relatively speaking,  updated.  

The grounds and outside areas are nice.

We arrived after 6pm. There was an envelope with the keys and instructions for us, written in Swedish, even though we are foreigners. That was strange. Maybe all the guests are local. 

If you're like us, walking the Österlenleden Trail, this B&B may not be for you. The hotel staff left our luggage outside when delivered by a taxi under the rain.  This was the only B&B in our 6-day walk where we found our luggage outside. Not good.

Breakfast buffet was very decent, but there was not a lot of choice.

Decent B&B, but not for walkers

We made the right choice when we booked a nights stay at Agda Lund. As we took our husky with us on our long weekend getaway, we were happy to know that she was welcome, but only in the garden apartment which was seperate from all of the other rooms.. This was perfect for us. A little more expensive than the other rooms, but far more peaceful and quiet. The room was large with all the mod cons needed. A comfy lounge, tv and bed that was worthy of a second nights stay. Boy, did we all sleep well. The only crituque we had was the lighting in the room. Too many celing lights for our taste. A few more lamps or a dimmer would of been nicer. Although we were offered the use of the fridge in the main house, the lack of a small fridge in our room is something I feel would make a good addtion. The main building seemed fully booked, so we were glad we got to the breakfast room before everyone else. The breakfast was nicely presented and everything was farm fresh. While it may not appeal to those who want a hot cooked breakfast, we found the home made granola, the local products, fresh baked bread, eggs and good pot of coffee all kept us both very happy. We both found the whole experience to be wonderful and all the staff were very courteous,open and friendly. Kivik is a beautiful place to visit and we both would recommend Agda Lund as a quaint, clean and a very comfortable place to stay.

Paper thin walls

We had the room for 5 which was a separate room in the garden to the left of the main building.  It was quite squashed with all the beds, but ok.  It was clean and was pleasant to sit out in the garden or on our terrace.  Breakfast in the garden in the morning was lovely, actually breakfast, pretty standard - you can ask for gluten free bread.  They have delicious ice-creams in the fridge at reception that you take and pay later  = honour system.  They are made in the area and are really good.  B&B not cheap...  The family we were travelling with were not so happy with their room for 4 - kind of behind reception - was quite dark, however was next to a public sitting room/conservatory, but no-one else was ever in it so we could sit there in private.  Staff very accommodating when we had some drinks amongst ourselves in that room the last night and even let the kids go into the conference room next door to play cards.  Staff extremely helpful.

B&B in the country

Agda Lund is a bed&breakfast in Kivik, but with the prices of a hotel. So with the prices, certain expectations arise. At least for me. And I am sorry to say that they were not fulfilled.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely recommend this b&b for people staying maximum 2 days, but not more. The owners are very nice, the staff too. The breakfast is all that you need, with high quality on coffee, bread and yoghurt (with their own granola). The rooms are what you can expect as well. 
But during our stay, details started to irritate me. We stayed 5 nights, and I think that was the problem.
You see, even though the breakfast is nice, it is exactly the same every morning. Same bread, same youghurt, same cheese, same herring, even exactly the same Norah Jones tunes playing. Get's a bit boring. But the thing was that the staff changed every morning. And that made it difficult to get a relationship with the staff, to get the things you want. Details, I know. 
The rooms are, well, ok. Large enough, but you hear everything happening in the other rooms. The bathroom is small. So small that a normal sized toilet doesn't fit. And after a couple of days at least I get a bit annoyed of not being able to sit normally on the toilet. Or crash into shower cabin when I turn around for the towel by the sink. 
The worst during our 5 days stay was that they never cleaned our room. Ok, I admit that we had a lot of stuff, being 2 adults and a kid in the same room, so I could have lived with they skipping the vaccuming. But they shouldn't have skipped cleaning the bathroom. The only thing they did was emptying the bin (thank's god for that, poopy diapers and all...)

To sum it up, it is ok for a couple of nights, not more. But with prices more or less the same as a hotel, well, there are hotels with normal sized toilets in the area.

Nice but pricey

We were lucky enough to spend a beautiful Saturday here at Agda Lund Bed & Breakfast. We had ordered a dinner package that includes welcome coffee and cake and a dinner on at "Eva på Torget".

Every crew that worked and served us this weekend was really nice, we got maps and tips on what we could do during our visit in Kivik.

It takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the port of Kivik and we were really glad we chose this place. The room was large and clean. The toilet and the shower was not the biggest but lasted well enough for us.
 There is a moderately large TV room where you can borrow books and magazines about the place.
Want to rent a bike ready Agda this, it costs only 90 swedish kr per day.

The beds you will sleep very well in after exploring Kivik and in the morning you can enjoy a breakfast with lots of local specialties.

All this comes to a very good price, to book early is recommended, it is very popular.

I just wish we could have spent another day here, we will return.

We loved it and we´ll be back

A very charming place, with beautiful rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast and most important - a lovely atmosphere. We have decided that Agda Lund b&b will be our yearly get-away-destination, and have already booked our next stay. A "safe" recommendation :)
