Stayed here for three nights with my girlfriend's family in August. The location is attractive; an old farm in the middle of the Småland forest up a well-maintained gravel road not far from Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren's World. The accommodation is in small cabins, with communal facilities in a converted barn.
The food is all vegan, with a hearty buffet breakfast and evening meal provided. The vegan cheeses and salamis appear to be made in house and were very tasty.
There are many animals wandering freely around the site, from cats to sheep and goats. Watch out for the goats, they like to attack people and one of them appeared to be particularly prone to headbutting and chasing people, which was rather frightening for my girlfriend's nephew and niece. The trick to calming them down appeared to be to chuck water on them. The sheep, on the other hand, were docile and very pleasant to have around. 
The owners and most of the other guests were German, so a good place to go if you want to practice your German language skills.
Not sure I will be back, but it was a pleasant few days in an interesting place.

Watch out for the vicious goat

We had a brillant stay there with our trailertent, kids and our dog. The kids loved it so much they didnt want to leave as there was a lot to do. Animals roam free and there is a very happy, relaxed atmosphäre at the place. Were greeted in the mornings of the dogs who wanted to play with our one. 
The food was amazing !!! Kids kept going back as they loved it so much- we did too...
For families the place to be in Smaland.

Holidays are all about experiences. And this holiday village has them all. It is located in the middle of the Swedish forest and this alone is worth the visit. The "rooms" are actually little cabins scattered all over the area. The owner and her staff live within the village in their own cottage. Animals such as dogs, goats, sheep etc roam about freely. Children will love this place. Breakfast and dinner are served daily and they are all vegan meals. Try the homemade butter. You'll love it. The dining hall has an open patio which opened up to the forest. Imagine having your meal facing Nature. Staff are all very friendly and always ready to help you with your needs. This is one experience I'll never forget.

A holiday village right in the middle of the Swedish forest

I booked two cabins directly from Lilla Sverigebyn as they offered better rates than booking.com. We loved the whole area alot, perfect for families with young children. There were animals like goats, cats and dogs moving around freely which made it fun for the kids, there were also cows grazing outdoor in the nearby neighborhood, you could hear them mooing especially in the morning. There were cherry trees, apple trees, and also a playhouse onsite, which my elder son called it "spooky". The shower/washing area requires some improvement and upgrade. Shared kitchen and common dining area was rather small, there was only a small fridge or two to store your food, and often you would have to "squeeze" the storage space with other guests. There were bunk beds for four persons in both cabins we rented. The upper ones really looked like it couldn't hold anyone heavier than 50kg. So, we basically had the kids on the bed, and for adults, we had to move the mattresses on the floor just to be secure... Not really a place for quality sleep, but we really really loved the surrounding and the atmosphere.

Like a fairy tale in the summer, but bad beds

My family stayed here in June and I do not recommend this place for families. We stayed in one of the available rooms, not in a cottage and the rooms were ok but all common facilities showers and toilets not properly cleaned. Showers worked poorly. We had a very bad experience for both dinner and breakfast. There was hardly anything, especially for children to eat. The food was without any taste and felt like it had circulated several times even though we stayed in the middle of the season. Price for dinner and breakfast was totally off market price (far too expensive) and the description for the offer on the web is not corresponding to reality.
