Hotel C Stockholm 

We booked this hotel through British Airways holidays where we have always been very happy with the accommodation. The hotel itself was perfectly situated 20m from the Arlanda Express and adjacent to T Central, the hub of Stockholm’s public transport network. However, having already paid extra for two rooms with a window, one for us, one for our daughters, we were disappointed to find our ‘view’ was out over a roof with buildings all around and our room was tiny with no space for us to pass and with hardly any wardrobe space. The ‘double’ duvet barely covered the bed even without two people underneath it. We spoke to reception who said we could upgrade but not until the next day and it would cost us an additional £280 for two rooms for the three remaining nights. We decided that for comfort's sake we would pay the extra. The new room was much better with an actual view, more space and more storage space, the only downsides were lack of USB sockets, which we have come to expect in a hotel room, and, although a hairdryer was provided, there was no socket in the bathroom and no mirror in the bedroom. Breakfast was included and this was ample with a good selection, including a whole area for food intolerances. The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Perhaps one of the best aspects of the hotel were the games in the foyer and we passed a fair amount of time playing pool, pick up sticks, table football and, our favourite Shufl. I would recommend this hotel but only if you are prepared to pay extra for a larger room and are not bothered about a view. Its location and other benefits more than made up for the extra cost.
