Where to start?! 
Me and my family and a few cousins went together. Seemed like a lovely place at first, beautiful view of the ocean. We split the bill in 3. First it took longer than expected but we didn’t think of anything at first. But then it took way to long time and they started serving people who got there after us! We waited for over an hour!! And they kept on giving us the wrong order. Turns out they had lost our orders! The chef said he had no idea what time the orders came in so he couldn’t make out food. Don’t come here unless you’re ready to wait over an hour to get the wrong meal.

As recurring guests, we excused this one particular receptionist for perhaps having a bad day. This time we experienced her just as rude and with no effort to try to secure the guests luggage between checkout and a couple of hours until the ferry arrived. If says that they can stir luggage, but it is just dropping it off in the reception wherever you find a place around a couch and a table. Some guests had had their luggage stolen the same weekend we were there, but still this rude receptionist basically told us to leave when we asked if there was a more secure option to watch the luggage as we waited for the ferry… She left us with a feeling that she did not want or need guests to stay there. 

Another thing, for 3.900 SEK / night we expected the same good breakfast as last year, but this was a very different experience. No fresh fruit and just some slises of cucumber. Very low quality and hard scrambled eggs, no croissant like last year..  we felt the cuts in quality on everything from toilet paper to having no soap/shampoo for the shower and the bad breakfast was due to some construction work that was going on around there. We found out there are a couple it other never and cooler options for next time. Never setting our feet in this place ever again.

Dirty and ugly. Not possible to change rooms nor get money back.
Nobody need to stay at this hotel to that price. 
Too expensive and very little service. Old and need heavy rebuilding and repairs. 
Try other hotels or RBB at the island or just visit for a day.

No, no, no. Could have been something great, but the standard is just pathetic..
A hotel/hostel that is run down and rooms in decay. So disappointed when you pay + €200 for a room. Not worth it and will not come back. This is just the result of, we can and we will. No respect for the building, customer or the fantastic surroundings.  But charge they can.

Let it be said at once; this property has an excelent location in beautiful surroundings. The Koster area is well suited for a variety of recreational activities. The establishment displays a "messy" entrance area with a line up of a substantial number of Bikes and related equipment. Upon arrival the check-in procedure went smoothly. A reservation for dinner at 8 pm was made at the same time. Our room was in an adjacent building. The room was clean, with an acceptable standard and a nice view. The bathroom was tiny, with a standard below what you should expect in a SEK 1990,- hotel room. Dinnertime: At the Restaurant entrance we(my wife and myself) observed the waiters let in a lot of guests. As we were entering the restaurant, the Waiter informed that no seats were available. We were advised to stay in the adjacent bar, awaiting someone to leave the Restaurant. App. 25 min later we returned to our room - as hungry as you get. Thought we could watch a program on the TV, but no remote could be found! Next morning -Breakfast time: Standard buffet, nothing special at all. A messy breakfast room with garden furnitures, including plastic chairs, in addition to ordinary furnitures in utter long-table layout. The Restaurant personell were dressed in work-out clothing. Our stay was a sad and unwelcoming experience. The property is a refined system of incompetence, and would leave Fawlty Towers as an example to follow.

Nice but bad bed

A rather big place which seems to cater for variuos needs - from serving lunch to a huge pack of people on a day trip to being a place for a seminar/workshop or a place to relax. It has a spacious and well-situated opne deck / lounge / bar, many bicycles to rent (could be better maintained though) and rather basic rooms. We were in a rather small room with white curtains (not helpful in the short summer nights) and small bathroom. So all in all, a rather average experience for not average money. Food was also not top notch, good food not to be hungry, a bit too salty for my taste. But nothing spectacular. In addition, there was no hot whater on one of the days and wifi singal in the rooms was on and off. A huge plus however - its staff: very friendly and helpful. If i were to come back to Koster to take in its quietness I would probably look for a quiter/smaller place to stay.

an all-purpose place on an island

Was stuck on Kosta for a couple of hours most places shut till we found this little gem. Nice staff and nice drinks like a designer candlelit romantic hotel in middle of nowhere nice to relax and people chill had a charger socket here allso saved the day and nice place 5 stars from England and recommend we got a hot chocolate on Kosta island... I can now say I had a Kosta on Kosta 🤗🤭🤫😺

Nice bar staff nice location 

Koster is built for purpose, what comes to hosting great parties. We had a business event for a few hundred people, but I can easily see a big or small wedding party taking place here too. Stunning environment, that is set up so that they can cater and entertain people really well. 

Evening party with great buffet dinner and live music

Right at the small seaport of the beautiful island of Sydkoster in Koster National Park is this beautiful hotel with modern rooms. The rooms are relatively small but very beautifully decorated in the maritime style and have a partly beautiful sea view with the rising sun shining directly on the bed. The restaurant offers a manageable but very good menu. The service in the hotel and restaurant is excellent. The hiking trail begins directly at the hotel and 100m away is the National Park Info Center which offers a very good, didactically valuable insight into the peculiarities of the park. Many lonely bays around the island invite to sandy beaches to bathe.
