DON'T BOOK HERE!!
I wish I had read some reviews before booking.
I booked wrong since I could not arrive in time for their check-in opening hours. I called them 2 minutes later and tried to cancel, they refused and said booking.com needs to cancel my booking. 

Now I called booking.com and they can not do anything for me. The hotel even lied to booking.com saying I never called them. I called them twice and have the logs to proof it.

They plan to charge me full price on my card even though I never stayed there. They are all about the money without giving any service at all!

DON'T BOOK HERE!!

My recent stay at this hotel was below average. The room I was given was far too small for my liking, and I felt cramped and uncomfortable during my entire stay. However, the real disappointment came when I saw the state of the bathroom. It was in a horrible condition, with moldy tiles and a musty smell that made me feel uneasy.

The breakfast served at the hotel was average at best, with a very limited selection of food items. I was expecting a wider variety of dishes, but was left disappointed with what was on offer.

Overall, my stay at XYZ Hotel was not a pleasant experience. I was expecting much more from a hotel of this caliber, and was left feeling let down. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Disappointing Stay

The room and bathroom were really small. No centralised air-conditioning. Would be nice to at least provide a table fan during the warm 30'C weather. Location is very strategy but horrible with noises from the streets from Saturday night to Sunday morning. The room was not properly cleaned. Our windows were with bird poops. Average breakfast buffet.

Low budget stay

I had a horrible 4 day stay. My room was 30 degrees C in the shade. Zero fresh air vents in the room so you'll suffocate within an hour.

I couldn't open the window at night because there's road construction 20m from my window and the loading dock for the super market with heavy truck traffic at 05.30 AM. So I had to choose between suffocation or waking up several times.

The walls are super thin, you can easily hear your neighbours talk and you hear everyone outside in the hallways. The doors slam shut so if someone comes home late (happens often) the walls shake and everyone on that floor wakes up, if they even managed to fall asleep.

During my stay I found a pack of mystery pills and huge amounts of dust + a dog toy under the bed (see pictures).

The shower cabin was broken so water pooled outside on the floor. There's NO TV and NO toilet items except a roll of thin,  2 ply cheap tp.

The breakfast room is super small with approx. 10 tables. The cue is long and it's hard to find a table. It's a stressful and unpleasant experience altogether with people opting to bring breakfast to eat in their rooms instead.
The breakfast consists of yoghurt, müsli/cereals and a tiny, rock hard piece of bread with cheese and ham + machine coffee.

I'd rather sleep outside than sleep another night here.

⚠️ AVOID AT ALL COSTS! ⚠️

Very good value for the price. Municipality parking just next to the hotel 18 - 8 for free. Very nice and ready to help staff. No lift - not a barrier free access. Shop 1 min from the hotel. Bus station just next to the parking.

Good choice for lower budget

I usually don’t stay at a Hotel that is also a hostel but I must say the standard here is very high. Everywhere else was booked which presented me the opportunity to overnight here. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was very clean-lobby, room and breakfast room. Only advice to the kind man running the breakfast-have 2 employees working there if you are fully booked so guests don’t go without butter on their bread or yoghurt. It came in due time but he is one person. 

Great value for money

I have booked a stay here quite early in advance so I have got very good price as for central location and room with bathroom. For 1 night business stop it was enough. Breakfast was simple but also enough. Next time I will maybe also stop there.

This hotel suited me perfectly. 
My room was clean and quiet, breakfast was simple but good, location was central. Simply great value for money.
I will definitely stay here again when I am in Sundsvall.

Value for money in great location

The hostel had long, dark corridors with dated decor. When I went into the large room there were four single beds (not bunk beds). There was also a large table in the room, and some chairs. The room didn’t feel crowded at all. The bathroom was attached to the room, however the ventilation didn’t work, which made the room smell a bit. We also ran out of toilet paper and had to ask for more. The beds were comfortable, and I slept well. Quiet hostel. 

There were no lockers – well there were but they didn’t lock/didn’t have keys/were already locked(and key lost). I found this slightly disappointing as lockers were still advertised. Was told I could lock things in the cupboard at the reception, however it was only accessible during staff hours.

The kitchen area was well equipped. There was no communal space really – just the area set with tables and chairs. 

The wifi wasn’t very good.

Basic, but equiped (apart from wifi)

Positive:
-great location in the city, close to a supermarket, citycenter and bus stop
-comfortable beds
-blackout curtains
-friendly staff
-nice breakfast

Negative:
- small rooms, many of them don´t have any wardrobes/chest of drawers
- staff are not at the hotel between 7-21 like the webpaige says, they are closed during the middle of the day.
- they state that they have breakfast everyday but they do not and they don´t give notice to when they are cancelling the breakfast
- they have too small mattress pads for the beds, glides off and make the bed lumpy
- the kitchen is poorly equipt, many of the basic stuff you need for cooking is missing
- the kitchen is a bit too small compared to the number of guest they can have
