We had a very nice room in this old farm-house / estate. The interior of the room has (as also for the rest of the hotel) a lot of original characteristics but with all modern requirements. Staff was extremely friendly and help-full. Breakfast had all we were looking for.

Beaetifull Hotel with many original characteristics

To conclude our vacation, we stayed one more night at the Hotel Idala Gardhotel in Treleborg. The remote rustic hotel is located in a beautiful park and was a horse stable 150 years ago. Friendly, competent reception. A large, impressive and rustic room with many windows and views of the parking lot. Unfortunately, the functionality suffers from the lack of a closet and storage facilities beside the beds and bathroom. The TV was available but did not work. The laminate floor disturbs the overall picture, unfortunately.

Remote, very quiet and stylish hotel with restaurant

Countryside hotell. Clean spacious rooms with wiew over the typical Scanian landskape.
A genuine old farm made into a small hotell and restaurant with italian twist and focus on italian wines and local seasonal dishes. We signed up to try wines from Sardinian winery Gabbas and it was a great experience. After we had dinner. First a tapas plate to share. Then a delicious cod and fantastic oxecheek. Calm surroundings and pleasant pace. Breakfast small but very nice and everything we wanted with fresh bread, jiuces,coffee, youghurts etc.

Charming

we visit the hotel on a friday. Out room was very small and very standard, no tv and very little room. A bathroom, very small. We stayed above the restaurant and the larger rooms (an better one) are located in the other building. But we slept very good, very quiet place, except you can hear the other guests, but we were not disturbed. On a next visit we think that we would choose the larger room. Views are great, wine stocks right next to the farm and fields. Lots of birds fly by, we saw cranes in the air and geese.
A small pool on the one side of the farm and lots of places outside to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Very idyllic

The property is beautifully located in the country. The first good impression of the generous room was unfortunately not confirmed: the bathroom was unattended (sufficient lime on the fittings and in the entire shower, black mold in the veins). However, the infestation with cockroaches was worse. If there were still a few dead in the corners in the afternoon and two living who wandered around, 6 cockroaches were running around alone in the bathroom at night. At night we heard the animals running and the next morning we counted 15 cockroaches - dead or alive. One even came out of the shower when we opened the water cycle. We had booked 2 nights and fled after one night already. So unfortunately, only a poor evaluation. Here, too, nothing good can change the evening.

A beautiful face

Stopped here for a night prior to taking an early ferry to Germany. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant was very good with some excellent be ef. They also import a very good selection of Italian wines which is unusual for a Swedish establishment. The room was a bit small for the €100 price tag but overall was worth it.

pleasant relaxing peaceful hotel

Wow! Simply Wow! This place is like being in a fair tale, very magical. I loved every moment of every day being at Idala Gard. The hosts and owners are amazing, and work very hard to make your stay more than comfortable. We had phenomenal food, and the ambience was simple lovely. I'd walk out of my room every day and smell the roses outside my garden, walk around the grounds and smell the fresh Swedish air. Everyone who works at Idala is so nice and hospitable, more than attentive, and accommodating. This place is a must stay!!! Summertime is obviously the best time around!

Midsommer in Sweden!

The hotel is located a little further away, about 10-15 minutes by car from Trelleborg. So if you are coming from Germany to Sweden by ferry, you could hit the Idala Gard. After Malmö, it is already about 40 minutes, so it is not particularly suitable as a starting point for excursions. However, if you prefer quiet and seclusion, you will prefer it. With modern comfort, the hotel has a pleasantly comfortable atmosphere through the farmhouse, which is just as visible in the food with the high decks as in the many hallways with its grinding compartments in front and behind the kitchen.

Nice hotel for seminars and team meetings with very good cuisine

Access is partly via agricultural road. Not optimal in bad weather. Remote location. In bad weather no entertainment except eating, drinking, reading and TV. Room is large, but everyone can enter if rolls remain on top. No closet, only wardrobe. Bathroom is clean. Room is large, many windows. Environment: just a lot of landscape or agriculture. Food: menu stayed the same for 2 days. Choice is very limited. Food is OK, but only 1x meat fish vegetarian. Additionally, 2 varieties and dessert cheese or desserts respectively. On weekends there was a wedding. When booking, ask if a party or a party is happening at the same time!

Optimal for short stays only.

It was after a busy tourist stay in Copenhagen that we had the pleasure of discovering the tranquility of this place, Idala Gard. The charm works immediately: in the middle of the fields, there is this beautiful family farm, restored with great taste and refinement. The reception is very warm and the staff very helpful. The nights are very quiet (just the pleasure of being awakened by the birds in the early morning). The bedding is perfect and the cleanliness impeccable! Bicycles are made available to take a little walk (the sunset on the wheat fields in the evening is really worth the trip!). We found the ideal place to simply visit and spend a night in Malmö or with friends at a relaxing, romantic restaurant in the area, which we all recommend.
