My family camped in the tent area for a few days. We booked a tent-site with electricity. Our extension cord was too short, so we bought an overpriced extension in the campsite-shop. After a few hours a rude caretaker came to us and made us aware that our extension cord was illegal and told us we could only use the electricity while charging our phones(???). We threw away our food as it could not be kept cold anymore, while wondering why everyone else were allowed when we werent. He had ignored 2 other tents that did the same. The next day we bought some food we wanted to cook later on. We plugged in our cooling system while we charged our phones, and of cause the caretaker came running. Now he was angry. Because now apparently we could not cool our food storage at all. Still he only told us and ignored the 3 other tents that did the same. Not a nice experience.

The campsite was however great, and the kids loved it and the heated pool. But we will never go back. Having unfair and rude personal is not a good idea for business.

Campsite was overall good but the caretaker ruined everything.

They called back and rised the price with about 100 euros per night. Even if I've called and got information of price and availability before I booked they claimed to have made a mistake.
Don't trust the booking and price you've got on phone with this company.

I thought better of a company of this class... 

Warning

Our booking that was placed online and  was confirmed OK by phone the day before arrival got dubbel-booked and given away to the other person. We had to rearrage our vacation because of this. The booking-system seems poor.

Confirmed booking got canceled the day before arrival

so close to a perfect beach for surfing and Swimming.
Service houses are good and the camping has all you need for a perfect stay
You can enjoy nice restaurants also close.
I simply recomend it for a nice Apelviken stay

We are touring and wanted a site for five days to allow us to explore the area. Chose site through ACIS card. Site is medium sized and pitches are readonable but very much in rows. Facilities were always very clean despite site being full as it was a prime holiday period. Staff were very helpful. Site isnect to beach and within easy access of local town.

Excellent site

We have never stayed at a camping ground before and our friends booked this for all of us. Our cottage was clean as was the whole camping ground. Close to the beach and the restuarants. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Did not like that we had to clean the cottage ourselves before we left. The high nightly cost should have covered it. Air BnB offered houses at cheaper rates, so that will be our option if we return to Hallifornia next year. 

Good for what it is

We really loved this place. It is right by the sea, the bathrooms and kitchens are clean and roomy. There are playgrounds for children, swimmingpool, free saunas and free wifi around the entire campsite. A place to eat and a grocery store are nearby. We stayed at tent and can really recommend this place.

Wonderful place

Stayed in small chalet on site which had all the amenities you could wish for. 
Clean, bright, simple and well designed. 
Calm and quiet surrondings. 
Staff all very helpful, speaking excellent english. 
Have stayed twice before both times being in the closed season.
The site is within metres of the beach and in summer is likely to be brilliant for a family stay. 
Breakfast was wonderful. Eaten in a nice room overlooking the sea. 
The site is a short drive away from Varberg (5 mins). To be fair the town lacks character and really  can be seen and experienced in  one visit.  
Apelviken is a good place to stay. 

Excellent

We were the one who were sleeping in a tent so all the field was ours.
There was everything we need. Also they do have a pool but even that it was hot outside the water was quite cold for not vikings.
There were a three service house with kitchen and bathroom. But we dont know why some parts was separated from each other and on the mans part was the kitchen and on the womens was the washing machines. But in any case it was everytime clean and not crowd.
The territory of the camping is big. There was tracks and homes. The tents spots located close to the park but in the night we could hear the sea.
The strange thing we found we the hot water. It was payed supplementary - 2kr for 2min. First we got very stressed because you do need to wait every time that the hot water will end. But then we decided not to think about money and spend as much time as we need. And we still not quite sure why they do need this system.

Cosy and comfortable camping

We were there as a group and staid for a couple of days.
Cottage are clean and well equipped; small lcd tv in the ground and upper floor, dishwasher, etc. including sheets and towels.
The biggest lack (or may be not) is we could not find any wifi. I didn't ask as I did not really need it but better to check if you cannot live a day without the internet otherwise, it is not too bad to be far from news and mails for a while!

There is a restaurant in the area serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Breakfast is pretty Ok includes warm food, sausages, kötbular, bacon and eggs; cold foods like hams, cheeses etc. with juices.
Lunch was served with salad buffet that was really simple! We had fish for the first day that was great! Really nice! But, I did not like the meet for the second day. It was well cooked but its sauce was not perfect match with the meet taste. Probably little too salty, sour and sweet. Same for mushrooms.
We preferred to eat dinner in the nearby restaurant, John's Place.

For summery, I can say the place is very well. Perfect if you plan to have a holiday with your family or plane to do surfing and wanna stay near to the sea.
