What a place! This is something of a hidden gem, I suspect kept a little secret by the locals. I was surprised by how few online reviews I could find, but please don’t hesitate to go if you can. It was the ultimate luxury stay, it is so quiet and secluded, with incredible views over the lake enjoyed from comfortable sun loungers with drinks brought to you. The hot tub and sauna were fantastic experiences, even though it was quite a warm day. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and spoke perfect English. The food was fabulous, especially the extra little options like charcuterie & cheese in the afternoon, and cakes/biscuits with your coffee. Breakfast was particularly brilliant, I loved the selection and it was all really high quality. We completely loved it, it was so hard to leave!

Luxury escape

Wonderful place for a weekend break. Only hosts ~20 people so the atmosphere is relaxed. Beautiful location, plenty of space in the garden. Spatious and nicely decorated rooms with comfy beds. But best of all, food & drinks. Fabolous dinner with wine pairing (loads of wines by the glass) and breakfast of highest quality. Top it up with super friendly owners and staff. Worth a trip!!

Simply amazing

Thanks Johan and Niklas and the rest of the crew for the fantastic days we had at your place. You really made us feel welcome and pampered. The service is excellent, everyone had always a smile on their face and was willing to help. The place is small so one really gets a personalized service, the food during the three nights we stayed was great, as well as the selection of wines. I warmly recommend them, and I am already looking forward for my next stay with them.

Treat yourself and your partner to a night at this place. The crew holds world Class service standard, and compares to anything in the world. The locally produced food, the wine pairings, the room layout, and the carefully thought through adjustments to combat the Swedish climate (dining in a greenhouse for example) - are all examples of why you should go here. Exquisite

My husband and I spent several exceptional days here in the area of my grandparents' birth.  Our room was charming and comfortable, as was the lovely bath. Each of the many dining locations interior and exterior were both fanciful and beautiful.  The food was exceptional  in taste and appearance and variety. Lastly, but perhaps even more importantly, the 2 host owners were memorable for their warmth and instantly attractive congeniality. With any and every return trip to Sweden we will without a doubt spend time at this wonderful bit of heaven.

A Magical and Feel Good Experience

We rented the whole place for a September weekend to celebrate my birthday with family and friends (21 people). It was the best choice! Johan and his staff made it a wonderful experience,  warm and intimate at the same time as it was elegant and with the best food and drink. Both children and grown-ups had a fantastic time with playing on the grass, swimming in the lake, enjoying the pool, sauna and hot tub and talking to each other. Thank you, we will come back!

Best owner, food and feeling

We have stayed in their rooms and we have tried their glamping and recommend that you do too! Sund Nergarden is everything you look for when you want a beautiful, peaceful, quite, clean - the perfect getaway. 

Amazing location, delicious food and the friendliest people who cater to your every need. It is hard to find a place to stay that cares so much about their guests, their food, their property being 'cute' and immaculate. It is a delight to stay here and we will be back many more times!

Sund Nergarden - The Perfect Hideaway for grown ups

The perfect hiding place during our trip to Sweden. Idyllic location above the lake with all the comforts including a heated pool, very well maintained plot. Lovely modern vintage style rooms with new bathroom. Exquisite restaurant with a small, well-chosen menu and a large selection of wines - we had the best food here at all during our trip! Great hosts, the hotel is truly a very successful paradise.

Perfect oasis of well-being

Very good stay in this Hotel. Perfect place to rest and cut out from the city life.
Personal was very nice and arranging. Location is amazing with a strong feeling of peacefulness and isolation. We would love to go back there.

I will recommend this place to everyone I meet. It is tranquil, friendly, and clean with stunning views and the friendliest people who cater to your every need.
