Like every year on our way to Zermatt we spend the night at Gasthof Altels. Rooms and beds are absolutely okay. Brigit is a perfect hostess

For diner we take traditionally the Wiener schnitzel with French fries. You won't be disappointed if you stay there.

It's also the place for the local clubs like kandergrund jodelerclub and Feldschutzen.  If you like tradition this is the place to be

Our family went for a day trip to the lake "Blausee", where we had a nice time. On our way back, we decided to have lunch at the Gasthof Altels, as our daughter had been there some weeks before with some friends. The staff is very friendly, the food is excellent and the price is very good. We really can recommend this restaurant.

We had a 2 night stay and it was excellent.
The room had a sitting room and a balcony which looked out to the mountains.
Attentive staff and good food from the restaurant. 
A good location for exploring the area with a bus stop at the hotel.
Lots of space for parking if driving.
