This hotel has been completely renovated a couple of years ago and I have stayed here a couple of weekends since. Very peaceful and quiet.
Simplicity is the luxury in this boutique hotel. Delicious home made food and a romantic, nostalgic atmosphere make it a very worthwhile experience.
Just drop in for coffee and cake in the afternoon or have dinner.

Nostalgic atmosphere and good food

Very charming hotel, with nicely furnished clean large rooms at a very reasonable price. Very quiet. 
You can take a very good breakfast buffet for 10 additional Swiss Francs, which is cheap for this country.
The very helpful owner is always present.
It is a family hotel, well maintained, where you feel at home.


Excellent value for money

The lovely location and  the Art Nouveau style bring you back  to the early 20th century and tourism at that time. The house seems to be very close to the original condition. Very warm atmosphere. Situated in a lovely countryside where you hear the bells of the cows on the meadows. Relaxing!
The house and the location give you the feeling that Thomas Mann or Hermann Hesse could pop in any moment.
Very friendly service. We arrived late in the evening and were hungry. They served us a meal although the kitchen was already closed. As I said a warm atmosphere.

We were sent here by our work travel agent as we were visiting the nearby (?!) BaselWorld Watch fair. The fact we were far further from the fair than we would have hoped is irrelevant, the dive to get to Hotel Erica from Basel Airport was beautiful (after you got off the motorway). You drive up through the mountains, through some really lovely villages and towns that would be so lovely to go and explore another time. The hotel itself is set above the town of Langenbruck which is quintessentially what I imagine Switzerland to look like, chalets and all. There was snow on the ground and the air was so fresh. The hotel is sweet and the staff very helpful, their English is much better than our Swiss! The beds were very comfy and the fresh air helped us sleep well. We loved all the extra Loos and sinks in the corridors and staircases, added to the fun. It's not the smartest hotel but it's homely and perfectly fine. Breakfast in the morning was simple but delicious, continental, as you would imagine. Lots of croissants and homemade jam and good strong coffee. All in all, if I was in the area again I would stay there again!

The Hotel is small but clean and beautiful , rooms are big and beds are comfortable . 
Free Breakfast is additional facility . Breakfast is good and staff is very co-operative . 
You can call it value for money .
