My two-night, off season stay could not have been better. Katrin and Christoph had planned their own down time but opened up just to accommodate this single customer. Their generosity did not end there -their tourist suggestions, excellent breakfasts and entertaining conversations were in perfect harmony with their immaculate establishment.
Highest recommendation.
It even turned out that Christoph and sons are curlers coming to compete in Canada.

Tip top experience at Alphotel Eiger

We stayed for three nights in a 1st floor room overlooking the Alps and Thunersee Lake with a (shared) balcony.  The room and bathroom were spotless with loads of hot water. This is effectively a B&B hotel as there is no restaurant but the hosts are happy for you to picnic on the balcony and provide a small fridge in the room.  We took advantage of that on two occasions - the 1st was a planned bread & cheese supper but the 2nd was sort of self imposed as we were bushed after a long hike down from the Nierderhorn and the only two restaurants open in the village were a bus ride away (runs every hour).  Our suggestion would be to eat out in Unterseen where there is a great choice of good restaurants around the old square (also an hourly bus ride away). The hosts probably miss a trick in not offering a cheese/ham platter to guests in the evening especially out of season - after a long day out it does seem that you have to go that extra mile to get something to eat.The breakfast is really good, the hosts are incredibly warm and helpful so this little hotel was pretty much perfect for what we wanted to do.

Relaxed stay in beautiful location

Without question, our stay with Chris and Katrin was the BEST during our recent vacation to Switzerland, Bavaria and Northern Italy!  The talents of Chris as a finish carpenter and Katrin as the chef truly shine.  They are the most friendly, most accommodating hosts that you could imagine, and their suggestions for dinner and adventures in the local area really enhanced our experience.  The entire place is truly immaculate, and we were very satisfied with our room, which included a large balcony to admire the entire Alps range!  The breakfast was delicious & filling, and the provision of the Mammut backpack for storing my wife's camera gear and lunch was a nice touch.  Alphotel Eiger has many benefits of a small hotel, but it really felt like we were visiting close friends during our stay.  We wholeheartedly recommend the Alphotel Eiger to anyone who is visiting the area, and we can't wait until we can return again!

Best Place to stay in the Berner Oberland in Switzerland!

The friendly hotel is a perfect location to visit the area. Only a few minutes from interlaken and with a spectacular view on the alps and lake. 
The owners are very helpful with plenty of recommendations and advices. Breakfast is great and you can enjoy it while overlooking the alps. Rooms are spacious and very clean.
I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely do so.

Amazing view

charming hotel, very good rooms, with fantastic views on the mountains.

The friendly owners give advise about visits, restaurants, walks, transport,... everithing. Even they offer activities.

Excellent place to stay

We stayed here for three nights. Clean and nice room with a beautiful view over the mouintains and lake.
Nice breakfast in the morning with different local cheeses, new baked bread, fresh fruit, eggs etc.
We went tracking for two days. One day in the local area - Niederhorn. Beautiful tracking area with not many turists.
Easy with the bus system to take the bus in to Interlaken or the village Beatenberg. 
The owners of the B&B were so friendly and helpful with everything. Really did the extra.
Highly recommend you to stay here instead of busy and touristic Interlaken.
