On Sunday, we had a very full gardening business.An estimated 50 people with a service force.The desire for a salad dresser (not on the map) was only reluctant to be implemented.Stressed and therefore unfriendly service staff.For decades we have been guests of the Baslerhof (Kessler era) but we have never experienced such a stressed mood.

Very deteriorated compared to before the change of host

From 1 July 2020 new host. Previously it was typically set up as a country inn. Now it's more like a canteen. Very uncomfortable. The food is more than poor. Absolutely not recommended. No comparison to before. Everything is chaotic and very noisy. No longer recommended. Price performance is not right. Very unfortunate for the beautiful place.

It's very bad.

Approved: post. Reviews from 2019 are mainly related to the previous tour until the end of 2019!! Birthday dinners on 1 July 2020 in the garden: wine too hot, defective wine cabinet, potatoes totally oily! Both were advertised to staff. Chief was informed, but it did not seem appropriate to apologize press, no to all the displeasure she also wanted to find out that it was the first day and the potatoes were as they thought ok. Also, the staff never checked for wine (Pinot Noir, VS Lucifer), fl. to 59- in the 18th, usually in the Gulier to 49th professional level we did not notice anything directly from the entire time.

Once and never again!

I was there with the family for dinner today. I had ordered a Cordon-Bleu Roulade (pork meat): - The Cordon-Bleu was still completely raw inside (error No. 1). After I objected to this, the plate was taken back from the waiter; - Just a minute later the plate was again on the table, with the remark that the meat was now through (error No. 2); - I then cut through the roulade and explained to the waiter that the meat was still raw after such a short time. This waiter replied that it was the ham, which was the raw meat through (error No. 3); I then showed him the raw meat again and sped it with him, and he kept the food away.

Never again!

We were 21 People. What a Dinner!!!! Excellent and Delicious. A place to go for Business or private. The Price is a bit high but the Quality Perfect. The People there were extremely friendly. We went on Aug 15. A Place to go.

A jewel in the community, again and again and spontaneously, no worries about opening hours, because it's open all week, plenty of room, even if it's crowded.

This place is always awesome. Food is wonderful, service is outstanding. The place is cozy and they make you feel at home. In summer they have a nice terrace. One of my favorite places in Basel for more traditional Swiss cuisine

Great food awesome service

My husband's hiking group recently ended up at the baslehof for dinner, where I join ed them. The separate room off the ordinary restaurant was reserved for your group, some 25 people. We were welcomed with friendly and cheerful and very attentive service  from well-trained waiters. The food was plenty and very tasty, and the menu offers a great variety of dishes. 
In warm weather you can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy a grand view since the restaurant is perched on top of a hill above the Rhine Valleyand overlooks the city below and the river valley. The restaurant has its own parking lot, which will probably fill up very fast, however. There's a bus stop right outside as well for those relying on public transportation. The building is a beatifully renovated old farm, very stylish. Ican recommend the Baslerhof

Top location, good food

Where else is that? The soup doesn't come in the plate, but is served in the plate with a separate cup. Great! The vegetable soup was just right for the temperature to be eaten. The daily menu of calf bread & vegetables, which you can have as a small portion, was not only good but enough to have a dessert space. We like to eat here. The staff is friendly, well-mooded and the food is excellent! The place is cozy, it also has a white-covered dining room. Compliments to the whole team!

Old school - keep it that way!

We had 1 x pepper steak with vegetables & potatoes, 1 x calf steak with vegetables, preceded by an excellent nut salad garnished and a small mixed salad. The dessert was a homemade eiska that buzzes wonderfully. The restaurant offers a general card, a week card and a special card. The great thing about this restaurant is that it has small and large portions. And even better is the waitress, friendly and competent. BRAVO to everyone!
