I would like to thank Regula and her entire team for making our holiday absolutely fantastic. We were delighted with our two rooms in the Valaisia Hotel. The Breakfast and New Years Eve dinner was superb. The entire staff was extremely helpful, and no wish was too big. We loved every moment of our stay. The Pool and Sauna Area was very well maintained as well. We wish the staff a wonderful winter season and hopefully see you soon. The Toland's

Fantastic Christmas and New Years Holiday

I've known the hotel complex from before, but it's not the same as it was back then. The service is very limited, the Tenne restaurant no longer exists, and the buildings are old, in decline and in need of major renovation. Apparently the complex will be sold after this winter season and housing is being created. The price-performance ratio is no longer true, much too expensive. And unfortunately the homepage is not updated with the current situation either...

Unfortunately not recommended anymore

Due to a family weekend, we booked two nights at Art Furrer's. We were always in a chalet on the Riederalp as children and made our first ski trips there. So we knew the hotel at least from the outside. The older houses (not the Royal, where the reception is located) have unfortunately come of age. The rooms and the house were clean but relatively old fashioned. Besides, the price was not exactly affordable. In my opinion, the hotel needs to be renovated if you want to continue to be perceived as a good address in a ski area known for chalet and family holidays.

The years have come

The hotel is very near the ski lifts. They welcome you with a glass of fruit tea. They have a ski room to put your skis over night. The view is beautiful and you can see the Matterhorn. The breakfast buffet is good and the buffet is also open for dinner. They have a indoor pool and a spa.

Review 

I was there for a conference, and got a corner room with a spectacular view.  They pick you up at the Riederalp Mitte station and take you in a snow cat to the hotel.  Breakfast was excellent, with as many choices as you could want.  Dinner was also first class.  What a great place to visit.

Great hotel and location

You can see that the rooms have gone through the years and had to be renovated, new furniture, new sofa. We were in Valaisia, which is a little older. The family rooms are pretty big and the view from the balcony is phenomenal. The food was very tasty and varied and the service was also great. Price performance is fine. I can recommend further.

Required renovation

We would like to thank you very much for a wonderful week with you. We were super-cared for at the restaurant by the dream couple Regula and Krisztian. In general, the whole team was always very kind and attentive! Not to mention the always very good and varied food. The rooms have gotten a little old, but they are rich with the good price offer. Thank you very much for everything!

Skiing in Aletsch

We stayed here for a family skiing holiday around New Years. We were impressed with the kindness and service mentality of the staff - Regula and team are top notch and very friendly with children.  The quality of the food was very good and we appreciated the 1830h start time for the family buffet so the children could be in bed in time after a day of skiing.  We really enjoyed the pool which was a favorite with the kids.  The location of the hotel and panoramic views are fantastic and the rooms are clean spacious with south facing balaconies.  Some of the interior may be a bit dated. We hope to see you soon.

Wintersport family holiday

Riederalp is a quiet little town that you rarely see anyone on the street.  If you like tranquility, this is the place for you.  Hotel Art furrer is the biggest hotel there, situated at the high plateau of Riederalp.  Most rooms have a south-facing balcony with a stunning panoramic view.  The breakfast and dinner were both delicious.  From Riederalp, you can take the cable car to go up to the Aletsch Glacier.

We were guests for many years in different types of Furrer hotels, both in summer and in winter. After a break of about 10 years, we returned for nostalgia to the type of Furrer hotel on the Riederalp... unfortunately a mistake! The hotel is left to decay, since the 1970s nothing substantial has been invested in the four houses. For four people we have now paid CHF 440 per night. This is for two simple rooms in the 70s style, which have hardly changed apart from the wear and tear. The kitchen compartment had apparently a very direct connection to the very inner part of our bathroom, which makes us feel that we have to turn back every night from the grim smell of the lovely pieces of modern furniture. The simple breakfast room price was also often cheaper in the future, but we also do not want to leave the hotel, because we are not yet able to get out of the kitchen, which is not always the same as the usual.
