Owner most unfriendly They have a sign in front of the door saying in German that they only serve guests with a reservation. I went there with my wife at lunchtime. We were hungry, found this place and entered without reservation. Nevertheless, we were admitted and sat to a table in the otherwise empty restaurant. But later, when we placed the order, she got real mad and made us leave, even threatening us with Police. 

Not worth visiting. Extremely unfriendly

Wailda is a hidden gem. While the atmosphere could be interpreted as old school, the food is just amazing. Everything is made in house by the traditionally trained chef and his family. We called ahead and ordered a goose and it was exquisite. If you want to eat traditional, well cooked, completely natural food this is your goto spot.

I booked this hotel through Booking . Com and paid online otherwise they dont accept credit card 💳. I booked a twin
Room for single use. As i check in to the room they took the other beddings and just left 1 pillow and 1 blanket and an empty bed. It look strange taking out the beddings on a twin bed room.
I had breakfast included in the room and my friends joined me for a coffee , we would like to sit outside in the terrace but the owner told us to eat inside its not allowed to bring the food outside so we sit inside had our breakfast and when are are about to leave the room , my friend hit the window decor (because the room is so  narrow almost no place to move )and broke the glas candle holder. A cheap one you can buy anywhere , OMG! A catastrophy, we ask her if we just pay for it, her action speaks louder than words .
I went back to the room to pack my things then she came open the door without knocking and told me to leave because check out is at 10, i said yes i am packing my bag, 5 minutes later another guy came in to clean the room and i thought this is a joke. 
Disrespecting my right as a paying guest.

Good location near the lake but unfriendly owner

After finding the hotel via the internet I went to the hotel.The arrival was immediately negative as the owner is very irascible and uncomfortable waiting for the reception very long as there is a lack of staff.Impossible to pay with credit cards but if you have euros he is very happy because he would want the same amount in euros for a profit.There is an institute 250m away. Asking for dinner since it is all expensive I decided to take a salad and a coca for the price of 19.00 francs but apart from the order in itself I found a hair.

It's a very low-quality hotel.

We were travelling from Austria to Italy. We stayed overnight. A cheap hotel with a home setting. Cozy rooms with balconies.

Hotel walida

We stayed for a week at the Walida Hotel in Bönigen, on the Brienzer See, in the beautiful Jungfrau region, a few kilometers from Interlaken. Located in the centre of the village, 1 minute from the lake, ideal location! We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the mountains! The kitchen is excellent and in fact, many guests are regulars! The breakfast buffet is typically Swiss: lots of breads and lots of cheeses! The owner makes the small pastries herself and the chef in the kitchen, with vouchers! The hotel has a parking lot. The WIFI is available, even if it is a little expensive (no in Switzerland, no)? We come back to this hotel because we have a very good address in Berberland and we will visit it in the great area and there is a very good feeling in the area!

That's a good address.

We have stayed in the Walida many times and are always warmly welcomed by the owners and very friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast and evening meals. Nice rooms with balconies and good views. A hundred metres or so from the Brienzersee and lake cruises. Easy bus or car to Interlaken and Wilderswil for access to the Jungfrau rail network.Strongly recommend, good prices.
