The place itself is nice...people looks fiendly. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable. Amazing but true, we are in Switzerland, and not even 1 TV Channel for French-speaking Swiss. Thought this should be anywhere in the country (DE/IT/FR)
We had a room with a window on main road side. We were told it would not be busy at night...but it still was. 
We had dinner in the evening to the adjacent restaurant. pizza was not that good, but pastas were ok. 
Breakfast was small and with reduced choice of items, no warm dish proposal. Breakfast lady "just" sympathic,  speaking only Swiss German.

overnight in Emmental/Entlebuch

We had dinner here on our way throughout the Entlebuch Biosphere. Nice place, rich menu and Swiss hospitality. We had Spring Pizza  with Asparagus and Asparagus Penne, both delicious and healthy. This place was a lucky stop to have a dinner. Keep up the good work!

Good and rich menu

We were not in the old building but in the extension modern one which has all needed amenities. Clean and practical to use. The room could be in any other hotel.
A free parking is available.
From here you can have a very nice walk along the Emmen River.
We did not try to climb the mountings as it was foggy but generally this is a good place to do so.

A good place

We spent 2 nights on a "Dein Deal" arrangement including bed and breakfast plus one 5 course gourmet meal and one Pizza dinner. What a GREAT deal. The hotel is quite charming with typical Swiss country furnishings in the two dining rooms with lovely draperies, table linens and fresh sunflowers to add to the ambiance. Our room was small but immaculate with VERY comfortable beds and nice towels and linens. Also plenty of amenities in case one forgot to bring along their shampoo or body lotion. The gourmet meal was excellent. Each course attractively served with no rush to get us out although we were the only ones dining in the separate "Biedermeierstübli". Also a nice selection of 7dl quality wine by the glass which allows one to have both white and red wines with the appropriate courses. The dessert course, 3 different kinds of chocolate ( brownie, white chocolate mousse and dark chocolate mousse) looked too good to eat and were all delicious. The pizza dinner was also first class. I had the Parma ham and arugula with cherry tomatoes pizza which was wonderful. Quality ham, sweet fresh tomatoes and  arugula on a crisp not too thick crust. Unfortunately too big for me to eat it all so my husband had to help out. Our breakfast was very good. It included fresh orange juice with coffee and warm milch, a basket of croissants and sliced bread plus a small platter of various cold meats and cheeses. No buffet breakfast but still good value. The service was attentive and professional. All the staff were friendly and so we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again. Certainly a great place to stay for hiking or sightseeing in the region.

Swiss Hospitality at it's best!

We had dinner and breakfast at the Drei Könige. The dinner menu was very tasty and rich. The tenderloin cooked in hay was soft and cooked to the point. Price value is also fine. We found the service a bit slow, we had to wait quite long for the food. However, they were always friendly and the food compensated for the waiting time.
We also slept in the hotel. The rooms are clean but not stylish or fancy.
