I found it to be quite average overall but cozy. While it didn't particularly stand out in any specific way, it was okay.

The rooms were clean and adequately furnished. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating.

The location was convenient, close to the center of Fraunfeld.

If you're looking for an average but reliable option, this hotel could meet your basic requirements without any major frills.

Average, yet comfortable

I visited this place with some friends. We had dinner in the restaurant Goldenes Kreuz and stayed for the night. The rooms are large enough and everything works find and is clean. The Hotel is located in the center of the village Frauenfeld. Guests can use the parking lot of the nearby Shopping Center. Good choice over all.

Traditional Hotel in historic Building

Spacious rooms, very clean and with    
All amenities. Bath is small but efficient. The staff is friendly and helpful. The building is a historical gem. Look about for all the special details. A modern elevator is appreciated. The nearby parking garage was beneficial. 
The breakfast was good with fresh food and fruits. The coffee is made to order. 
No air conditioning.

Quaint and historical 

Not cheap but good quality. Comfortable bed. Good service. Ok breakfast although no fresh fruit. 
Cute little village. Excellent restaurant in hotel so definitely try that out. Good deer filet and crispy mushroom salad as a starter. Good wines per glass as well white Chardonnay and a ripasso 

Good decent place 

The rooms are very austere in apearance with only the bare essentials. Not what one would expect at that price. The bathrooms are old fashioned and reminds of a hostle. Breakfast existed of a few cold cuts,cheese, bread and yoghurt. This Hotel is very expensive for what it offers the Client.

The room was very basic and not heated (in November) when I arrived. Heating the room to an acceptable temperature took several hours. There were no hot food items offered for breakfast. For the rate they charge, more could be expected.

Basic

The hotel is well placed , central and very efficient and clean.
The restaurant for me is the key feature, fantastic , tasty food, freshly prepared.
The steaks have to be amongst the best you can find anywhere .
