We stopped here for lunch after a morning on the slopes with toboggans. Good bite to eat - spaghetti and bratwurst plus beer. Decided to eat outside although it became a little windy and cold. It’s a buffet style restaurant convenient to the gondola.

We didn't stay at the hotel but we tried the restaurant after climbing to the summit of Männlichen. The staff were polite and friendly and the portions were we're huge! Beer was a very good price too a must visit when up the mountain.

Nice restaurant 

We stayed at Berghaus Mannlichen in late August. The place is idyllic, with fabulous views of all the mountains of the region, especially the Eiger, Wetterhorn, Mönch, Jungfrau, and the valleys of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. You can reach the hotel via the cable car from Grindelwald or Wengen. The rooms are comfortable, views incredible. The hotel restaurant is excellent, dinner was great. They also have option of a barbecue buffet. But what pleased us was the attention of the staff, which was quite appreciable. When morning came, the day was beautiful, and we prefer to walk to the Kleine Scheidegg (01:00 walk) and then to Wengen (01:30 walk). Wengen, we returned to the hotel 11:00 am, but we missed the breakfast. However, the hotel staff noticed our absence, and offered us drinks and food. So, the hotel is perfect for those who appreciate the best views of Switzerland, with great food and a very friendly staff.

Perfect location, great food and staff!

Perfectly situated on the Männlichen mountain this berghaus is ideal for a short hiking vacation. To reach it you can go by cable /lift from Wengen or Grinderwald, or you canb of course use you legs and hike, like we did. It is like 2 1/2 hous from Wengen depending on how fast you want to go.
The views are stunning and the hiking area is just outside the door. The rooms are big and pretty simple, but what do you ned up here? It is clean, good beds, a big and nice bathroom, in my room at least. Food is OK and plenty. Not exactly so much to chose from, but definitely enough.
Then it is not exactly cheap, but you are high up in the mountains, so everything costs more. 
Extra plus was the very good wifi, which was included.
I certainly want to go back here.

It had it all

Lovely cafe.  Good prices, pod food with decent portions and prices.  Kids nuggets and chips for children for 7.5 francs. Good loos too. Lovely staff some of whom speak English.  Definite worth a stop whilst you.are up there.
