On our way back from Grindelwald, we came across this restaurant on a serpentine. On the outer terrace, there was still a nice free space. Since many guests crowded the surrounding tables, the service took a little longer. Afterwards, there were two suitable main dishes and drinks for CHF 57 - so you can't eat in the land of millionaires.

Fitted

The food was OK, but Sylvia was very unfriendly, the dishes and documents were not inspected, you could make this yourself as a guest, for 3 guests there was only one menu, it contained no alcohol-free drinks, which were not priced, in indication of the lack of alcohol-free drinks in the card there was a short list with patchy underwear. When billing Sylvia once loose 1:1 € Chf and then also not correctly issued. to pay I would have 89 Chf, I paid with 100 € and with a naturalness were issued only 10 €... these were loose 8 € on it.... here I will just drive past, whether with a car or a motorcycle. Thank you for the good hypocrisy nice!!!

Well, that's right.

We stayed two nights in this hotel at the end of July. The rooms are clean but it is old... poor quality/price ratio (small dej too short, no TV, clean sheets but yellow with the weather etc...); for 130.- the night we expect better! otherwise everything went well. The gentleman who takes care of the establishment is very kind but we could not taste the kitchen of the hotel because on Monday and Tuesday it is closed.

Have a nice stay.

Was cycling a loop and stopped here for some food. The lady behind the bar didn't greet or welcome me despite hardly anyone being in the restaurant. I had to ask whether I could sit at a table and then wait another five minutes before a menu was brought to me. Laden with flies inside the restaurant as well which wasn't pleasant. I've given it two stars rather than one as the food was actually pretty good and the chef who brought it to me much friendlier. A smile costs nothing, if avoid and try one of the many places up the road in Grindelwald. 

Food want bad but service appalling

Perhaps for the mountaineers who are more accustomed to Refugios y Albergues pues no nos asombra, but by no means is Hotel. Antiquated and unmaintenant facilities, individual beds with uncomfortable mattresses, were sinking. The owner is the one who receives, cooks, repones, cobra, etc... The worst part: El desayuno: I think it was a hairy tomato buffet to be called in some way with bread, butter almost unreponered, mermaid, hard eggs and fiambre with a pint to carry several in the strip.

Basic is basically the same.

This a nice hotel cosy and have nice food and the necessary for any needs , not talking about luxury but confort.
Mr Peter the host is nice and gentle guy
The hotel have a nice price and is very well located , really close to the touristics points

Was so nice to be there

A bit expensive for that standard but... welcome to Switzerland! Not in Grindelwald but it's OK when you have a car. Cleanliness OK, comfort OK, nice breakfast and helpful manager.
Ah, and don't trust Google maps on that one, especially when you arrive late in the night and it's pitch black outside.

Fair value

Noisy, outdated, marginally clean, expensive,with a  greedy owner that inflates prices...food was VERY expensive and nothing out of the ordinary You can hear the train and the cars passing by. Stay away from it...new management should take over, remodel, clean it and reconsider what they have to offer.

NEVER bool this hotel!

This hotel we use a lot as it close to our company. The rooms are of a 4 star hotel and the restaurant is of the highest quality. 
The selection is on the menu will suit everyone. 
The presentation of the food is excellent. 
The staff are very polite and speak a number of languages. 

Clean hotel and very good food

Stayed there thrice! All the three times, it was nice. Will not say its a super luxurious place & has out of this world amenities. But, the basic things are appreciable. The owner, Mr. Peter, attends to the guests personally. A warm & friendly guy! During our first visit, the hotel was closed down, as a part of vacation. But, we were allowed to stay & also extended good care. Housekeeping was amazing - they change linens everyday! Since the hotel was closed down & only 2 rooms were occupied, the owner allowed us to use the kitchen to make our food. Since we are vegetarians, this came handy! The best part is, if we have any special requirement in food, thats offered at no additional cost! During one occasion, there were some logistic issues & Peter was so helpful. Yes, the language was indeed a hindrance! Overall, will say it was a pleasant experience :-) Not bad at all for the money paid. They have decent amenities. We just needed a place to sleep, as we were out most of the time. Ofcourse, one has to be careful while crossing the road or taking out the vehicle from the parking lot. The ambiance around the hotel is nice. There is a free parking lot at the nearest station. So, it was easy to commute between the hotel & the station from where we had to take the train to Grindelwad & back.
