This family business is convincing. The rooms are freshly renovated and you can see this in the top mattresses and the fluffy frottee, notably from a Glarner company...it's worth buying) We had a three-year-old stepson with us who enjoyed the ropes and carabiners in the closet in the room. Good size TV, good shower remedies, moderate strength. There's a bottle of elm water in the room, but the cool tap water is fine. The menu is rustic but surprisingly fresh vegetables in beautiful preparation.

Great experience.

We stayed in this small hotel in Elm in March 2021 (during the coronavirus pandemic). The room was spacious and looked to have been recently renovated. The room had a modern and charming feel with lovely wooden beams and a few mountaineering decorations. We also had a small balcony with a great view of the mountains.

The hotel is not in the centre of Elm, but Elm is not very big so it is only a short walk (on a road) to the town centre and the gondolas up the mountain.

The owners were accommodating to our needs, we had wanted to have our evening meal from the restaurant in our rooms, but in the end we ate in the restaurant as it was not busy. Breakfast was typical for Swiss hotels but done well, the evening meals we had were very tasty 3 course meals, for a very reasonable price. 

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in while in Switzerland. If I was in the area I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly family run hotel with modern and charming rooms, and beautiful views

Beautiful views of the mountains from the balcony of the room. The rooms are very clean, tasteful and comfortable. The Lacher family and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Although the restaurant actually has a Monday and Tuesday rest day, Mr. Lacher has cooked very fine menus for us every evening. We can warmly recommend the Hotel Bergführer.

A nice little hotel.

Great newly renovated rooms. Very fine and family-friendly dining. Very well situated, if the cabins are open, you can go straight from the hotel to the slope. Otherwise, it's also close to the valley station and a public bus stops almost directly in front of the hotel.

Great rooms and right by ski slopes

It's a small, family-friendly hotel, located just outside the village. Beautifully decorated rooms (if the carpet was removed the next time the carpet was remodeled, it would be perfect!). We had booked a half board (four-walk menu). The food is of good quality, the service is very friendly. The breakfast buffet in the morning is manageable in size, but of excellent quality and with a lot of regional products. Please come back and give me the address to get to Elm.

A hearty hotel with very nice hosts

Great place to stay and eat. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice and they serve diferent tyoes of codon-bleu;)
The lifts are in walking distance and it's a good place to start and end some hikes.

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel Bergführer to wander around the area. The hotel is perfectly located, the rooms are simple but nicely decorated, the food was excellent and the service was friendly and pleasant. The host family laughs and the staff spread a friendly, joyful, family and relaxed atmosphere. The hotel is highly recommended. The button on the I would be if the carpet floors were replaced with wood during the next renovation 😉

Family *** hotel with top service

We decided to spend a ski weekend with our children at the Hotel Bergführer. It was a great decision: we were very warmly received and were allowed to get generous and hospitable rooms, which are clean and lovingly decorated. The breakfast - prepared by the husband of the young host couple - was traditional and did not leave any wishes open. The same goes for the fine breakfast buffet - the perfect start to a new skiing trip. All in all, we have enjoyed staying at the Hotel Bergführer from Amer to Z and visit it once in the summer.

For a perfect family ski weekend

Very friendly staff who can also explain the culture and the area in detail. The kitchen is equally good and versatile. The rooms are very spacious and cleanly furnished. Ideal location for skiing, hiking and mountain trips. I would like to recommend it again and therefore very much.
