Residenza Onirica felt just like home. We couldn't feel more comfortable and welcome. The rooms are spacious with a rustic stile, with lots of light. The common area is cosy and allows to enjoy the beautiful view (waterfall!!)  with a very nice, warm (and free) expresso. The pizzeria service downstairs makes a delicious, very affordable pizza and the employees are very welcome and friendly. Mr Roberto is just the most thoughtful owner we ever met! We were also able to rent some bikes and discover the surroundings. For us the location was perfect, since the bike trails lets us discover villages, river and mountains. And Locarno is a 15 min car drive away, if you miss the city. We will definitely return. 

Amazing! 

Our experience as a family with 2 young children was excellent here. The village is well situated and allows with a car to discover Ticino very easily.

The residence is a recent, nice and well built house showing energy efficiency and label (Minergie). The swimmingpool is just perfect and the garden is big enough to rest or play any kind of games. The underground of the house offers tabletennis, fitness and other games for children as well as extra toilet facilities. The kind of outdoor carnozet is a good place to take the meals and will be a very refreshing place as soon as the wineplants will have grown all around. There is also a common terrasse very suitable to take a (free) coffee and read a newspaper.

The personnel and owners are very respectfull, smilling and helpfull, we were feeling more or less like at home, having the feeling to be able to live, go here and there and use the facilities without being spied or the impression to exagerate.

For sportive people, the residence is just perfect, the fitness room underground, the pool and the mountainbikes allows for good workouts especially the ones that love trail running, the mountains right there offer amazing single tracks (Castello, Mugnee-di sopra).

The nights at the residence are so quiet and the beds are so good that you will be able to get some very good sleep.

All in all, we were very pleased and satisfied!

Great place to stay and discover Ticino

We stayed here before a few years ago and were not sure to come back because that time the service was not very good, the rooms had not been done up with the explanation that they are a "B&B and not hotel"... BUT a lot of efforts have been made. This time the stay was excellent. Very friendly personnel, nice breakfast (which was also not the case the first time), and nice functional room. They even have a pizza delivery service in the house now, which makes it possible to really enjoy the beautiful setting. We will definitely come back.

Friendly, in good shape, to recommend

You cannot fault the location, set in the beautiful Vallemaggia. You've also got so much of the great outdoors at your disposal. What let this place down was the uncomfortable beds and pillows and poor quality breakfast. Get that right and you get more points from me.

Just ok

We arrived by bus to Locarno. After check in we were told that the business had been sold . The pizzeria, bar, children’s playground, bike hire, community room was not available . We had no food or drink and there isn’t a supermarket or restaurant in lodarno, one of the staff drove us 2 km away to the closest supermarket to get a few supplies as we were there for 2 nights . The motel did not provide soap, water, or anything . We were also expected to remove our own rubbish . As there was a language barrier we think we were expected to take the rubbish to a location about 400 meters away from motel. 
The young woman working there was very pleasant and did her best to help us . I explained we wouldn’t have stayed here if we knew this information. We noticed at the bus stop on leaving * a big sign advertising the accommodation with all of the facilities. This is not true . If you have a car you may be ok if not you are stranded..
The location is lovely and pool area nice but that’s it. The owner should take it off all websites as the information simply isn’t  true
