I chose to stay here a week to take photographs in the area. It was a great decision. Not only is its location ideal for exploring the area, both Mauro and Serena are truly superb hosts and extremely helpful in advising where to go. It's a family run place and all the better for it for the ambience that creates. The food was varied and tasty with decent breakfasts. The rooms offer heating and en-suite with good mattresses. I slept very well. Overall one of the best accommodation experiences I've had, and a great introduction to Switzerland.

A very special place.

We stayed at the Pensione Posse before our hike along "Sentiero Verzasca".

The rooms might be a little bit basic for some, but we did not mind. You have two beds, a bathroom/shower and sink, which is more than sufficient for a night or two.

The staff was very friendly, they offered us food (kitchen is open until 10pm) and gave us helpful tips for the next morning.
They also helped us print bus tickets for the local bus to get to Sonogno and when we mentioned that we would like to leave before breakfast (available 8am-10am) they offered us to prepare sandwiches for our hike.

The sandwiches were huge and did not disappoint. We returned after the hike for some pizza and salad, which were good value for money.

We also found out that the pensione offers a drying room and filling station for scuba diving. So we will definitely come back to dive the clear river water ponds.

Great value for money

The hotel is in the perfect location for visiting Valle Verzasca. It is a small family run place and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It is also very reasonably priced; it would be hard to find anything comparable elsewhere in Switzerland. There are things which could be improved (strange plug placements and the rooms are basic) but I would recommend staying here to anyone. 

Friendly get-away

We were touring the region by car and this hotel was just in the right location to visit the valley for 1 night. It was easy to get to as well. Within walking distance from the hotel is the beautiful emerald river with the different coloured stones, super gorgeous, just like the google photos.
The hotel was pleasant, a bit motel style. But the rooms were clean and the bathroom too and while it was chilly outside, the rooms were warm. Breakfast was very good I thought. A good selection of sweet and savoury things.
Dinner was a bit overpriced, but then we're talking Switzerland.
The internet didn't work in the evening when everyone was using it, well I didn't manage to connect to it. But early the next morning it worked.
I'd recomment this hotel if you're in the region.

Conveniently located little hotel

It's a family run place and they are really helpful. It's easy to find. Parking is plentiful right at the property. The room was basic but comfortable. The breakfast was simple but the coffee was good. We ate at the restaurant for dinner too and it was good.
There wasn't much room though for luggage. Wifi is only available at the restaurant and even there it's so slow I couldn't load anything. In this digital age travelers depend on the internet for their journey as well as communication. Very disappointed with the wifi.The check out at 10am was too early for us after a hard day's travel the day before. After all we were on vacation, woke up late and had a leisurely breakfast. We asked for a simple 15-30 minute extension and was turned down, citing the need for cleaning. The place had low occupancy so....
