Liked · Wow, basically everything I never feel welcomed as in there. The staff is fantastic. I feel they are my family and as if I have known them for a long time
The location is super wow. I am a very active person who usually comes to a hotel to sleep only. However, in this hotel, I couldn't resist and spent a long time on the terrace

Exceptional

Our previous stay was in 2016 and 6 years later this hotel is still outstanding in all respects. Breakfast is excellent and the views are both beautiful and relaxing. Tremendous value. Rooms are clean, comfortable and functional. Easy access to Interlaken via car, bus or train and the only possible negative is that there’s nothing within walking distance. 

Still a hidden gem !

I stayed here one night after a five night stay in Murren and it was a great experience and I wonderful addition to the trip. After researching multiple hotels in a similar price range, I am very happy with our decision to stay here. The views of the turquoise lake were beautiful and I enjoyed a peaceful and scenic filled walk through the town and along the lakeside to the Interlaken Ost area. The walk took around 45 minutes and it is possible to ride the train (3 minutes) back if desired. There were trains every 30 minutes or so between Ringgenberg and Interlaken Ost stations. One can also ride the bus; both are free with a pass that they provide at the hotel. Our room had a very spacious balcony with a view of the lake. I am not typically attracted to cities or large towns, but Interlaken was very much worth the visit. The lakes, rivers, mountains, gardens, and beautifully kept houses were a great addition to our trip to the area.

The hotel staff were very accommodating. We were let into our room when we arrived despite it being a couple hours before check-in. The reason I am writing a review though is because of how understanding and friendly they were when we had to leave for a flight early in the morning and realized that the front desk was not opened yet. We left a note asking to charge the card on file but it turned out that we had not given them a card yet so we eventually paid over the phone after we landed that evening. The woman we spoke with was completely understanding and very friendly despite us essentially leaving without paying, so that was very much appreciated. Overall we felt that this was an exceptional place to stay at a very reasonable price and convenient, beautiful, location.

Beautiful View and Accommodating Staff

Beautiful hotel, very nice amenities, wonderful host and very easily accessible to Interlaken and the Jungfrau region. Best of all, it is extremely affordable and is a rare gem to find! Breakfast is a huge spread and we would definitely visit again!

MUST STAY!

Stayed here for a few days and just loved the perfect location. It's about a 10 minute walk from the train station, walkway is parallel to the train tracks. What attracts your attention is the 180 degree view of the Lake Brienz, just spectacular. They provide free breakfast and you can enjoy your meal with the beautiful view. Better yet, bring your breakfast in the patio. The room was average with a queen bed. We got the bedroom with the mountain view and you see a picture-perfect sight right in front of you. For hotel guest, they can travel to and from Interlaken Ost by bus or train for free although we learned this from the Tourist Info and not from the hotel so the first time, we had to pay for the train ride to Interlaken. Other than that, this is a good alternate place to stay if you want to avoid the more expensive Interlaken area and just a few minutes by train. Although it is next to the train track, it didn't bother me that much.

Can't beat the lake view!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights ( had to leave room before the booked 3rd night). We had a small nice room for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay so for the third night they moved us to a lake front room in 1st floor. We were touring around Interlaken so did  not check into the room till 5pm. when we checked the room the bathroom smelled of  mould and dampness. My wife has a lung condition, and to stay in a room with any risk of having mold spores in the air was simply unacceptable. Frankly, it is dangerous for anyone to stay in a room with this risk! 
Anita from the front desk came up and immediately smelled it as well and apologized. We asked for another room but they were fully booked. We had to leave as we could not stay there. but finding a hotel for the same night at 6 pm was not easy. We did at the end and it costed us an additional 120CHF. 
We complained to the manager ( Sonja)  the next day via email but she claimed nothing was wrong and did not offer us any compensation for our additional costs and frustration. Very disappointing and poor Swiss hospitality! 

It’s a real pity as we enjoyed our stay up to that point but this experience was poor customer services and frankly a health hazard. 



Poor management response

The hotel is located in the village of Ringgenberg a couple of miles outside Interlaken and alongside and overlooking Lake Brienz. There is plenty of carparking and the bus stop and railway station are only 3-4 minutes away. With only one restaurant in walking distance - the Seeburg Hotel - we had to travel into Interlaken most evenings.
Our double room with mountainside view was cosy with attractive decor and a wooden floor. The bathroom was compact but luxuriously fitted with an excellent powerful shower. The continental buffet breakfast had a good selection and a fridge in reception provided wine, beer and soft drinks for moderate prices at any time of day. The staff were friendly and helped with all our needs including ordering us a takeaway pizza and providing plates and cutlery to eat in their bar/breakfast area.

Fine views over Lake Brienz

Wonderful, clean, very efficiently run, superb breakfast.  Great splendid views from the room. Calm and quiet. All you need for a holiday. 
Lindsay is remarkable. Very friendly all our questions answered.  A Big Thank You.

If only we knew that we could get a sandwich!  Information in the room would have been an added bonus to us. 

This in no way spoilt out stay we slept well and had a relaxed stay - what we needed.

Brilliant

Positive things: 

1. It has sufficient parking
2. It has Spectacular views
3. Very Clean rooms
4. Modern rooms with sufficient space
5. Friendly and helpful staff
6. Delicious breakfast that included hams,cheeses, bread and toasts, croissant, cereals, boiled eggs, fruit, jams, cakes, beans, sausages, chinese noodles, coffee, teas, ovaltine, juices and others. 
7. Rooms include clean towels, bath soap and shampoo, tea, coffee and a fridge.
8. Wi fi is included and it is fast!

Negative things: 

1. Keys not safely kept despite that staff claims that they live 30min away. Obviously i cannot explain further here why they are not kept safe. This should be improved drastically. 

All in all thank you to all the staff. 
This hotel is recommendable.
