After a long walk through the mountains, we were able to enjoy a very nice break in this restaurant. Very friendly and friendly reception. A small terrace with a beautiful view. The restaurant offers several authentic and excellent dishes. I warmly recommend.

It's perfect.

Very good food with fair prices. We hiked from Gletscherschlucht and found this restaurant accidentally, the foods were surprisingly delicious and in good quality. Friendly owner, good service. Highly recommended if you are hiking in Grindelwald area.

Good restaurant with amazing view

What a delicious meal, whale's shrimp pan, highly recommended for a refreshing home-made iced tea and dessert, hmmm delicious home-made linderte and shoggi mocca, and as cream, the fantastic view is plentiful.

It's just wonderful.

These people are So very friendly!!! The VIEW is ABSOLUTELY  amazing! A must-visit in your lifetime. Ask about his chili con carne! Hopefully it’s on the menu when you visit because it’s worth dying for. I’d say the price is also great for being in the mountains. 
We didn’t stay in the hotel, only ate at the restaurant, but when we come back to visit we will definitely want to book a room!

Wonderful restaurant and people!!

We stayed here for a couple of nights attending a local wedding. The setting is fantastic, with views up to the mountain and across the valley. Anita and Walter were very welcoming and very helpful regarding local walks and attractions. The rooms are basic, with shared showers and toilets, but very clean and even had a hairdryer. There is a shared balcony.. We walked into town which was a lovely walk - but the hill is quite steep for coming back. We will come back to do more walking! 

Lovely place 

Just outside Grindelwald is the mountain bar, Marble Break. Above the spectacular glacial gorge. 5 minutes by car to the center. 20-30 minutes on foot. So quiet away from the hustle with a fantastic mountain and valley view. Urig, cozy and clean. The bar is run by Anita and Wali, who offer 5 rooms here. A restaurant with delicious and high-quality dishes is on the ground floor, the guest rooms are on the first floor and the hosts are on the second floor. The breakfast is rich. Perfect outlet for hiking and activities in and around Grindelwald if you want to relax and enjoy nature and get away from the village.

Great place and wonderful service from Anita and her husband. The food tastes good and they can help you with the planning of different activites. They even helped me getting my car charged! Thank you, yuo are great. 

Great place

We spent one night in the three-bedroom in the Marble Break Mountain Inn. The room is very simple but cozy. From the balcony you have a great view of the Grindelwald and the Eiger North Wall. The owners are super nice and helpful. Our motorcycles could spend the night in a garage. The menu was delicious and quite affordable.

Came across this place while walking from Pfingstegg back to Grindelwald. Really friendly staff, excellent homemade cakes made by the owners mother, lovely view of the valley below. Would recommend anyone in the area making the trip up here or staying overnight.

Fantastic Place on the

I've been to Wald & Anita several times with the youth team. It's worth the trip alone - if there's a lot of snow, you'll be picked up from the forest down. Then rustic, good cuisine, a nice service. We liked the hats!
