We had a truly relaxing stay here in the Hotel Hirschen, which included the modern sauna with its straw cots to cool down on, the open-air Jacuzzi, then a formodable dinner. Breakfast consisted of local produce including fresh farn eggs an a variety of local cheeses. The personnel was attentive and very friendly. All in all great. The night was completely silent, peaceful. Just the mattresses could have been a bit softer.

Relaxing stay to reload our human cells

Good traditional swiss food in an idyllic place. Good service. Everything is clean and in pristine order.

My wife had a local sausage with røsti and i enjoyed a vesl schnitzel cordon bleu also with røsti.

Nice restaurant for lunch

I went to Switzerland every year from 1978 to 1993.
After 23 years interval, I visited Emmental this year. (2016)
Of course, I stayed at Hotel Hirschen.

Before I stayed there for one month, but this time I stayed only for 2 weeks.

I had a wonderful time again.
The owner of the hotel and staff are so friendly and helpful.
The room is perfect.
The food is delicious.
Langnau is my second hometown, and the Hotel Hirschen  is my second house for me.

I have already to plan to visit to Emmentel and stay at Hotel Hirschen next September. 
I have traveled many countries in the world for many years, but Hotel Hirschen is one of my best hotels in the world.

My most favorite hotel in the world

Rooms are cozy and comfortable, you can really rest in their soft beds. What's more, the food served there is excelled and the atmosphere in the hotel is very warm. 
Worth mentioning fact is that hotel is located nearby the ice hockey stadium, which is a great attraction (go Tigers!).

Excellent food and cozy rooms

We spent there a night during our company meetup in Switzerland. The food was simply amazing (they have really good vegetarian options too). They have as well a lot of wines to choose from and try out, stored in climatic undergrounds. Rooms are relatively small but well equipped. Foor hockey fans - Tigers stadium is in walking distance and there is worth seeing trophy room.

perfect food, nice rooms

We visited the Hirschen now twice with a bigger group of people. This last time was with 26 persons. Their service was again efficient, their staff friendly and chatty. The steak was done to perfection. The condiments nicely arranged. 
This time we first enjoyed an apéro down in the vine cellar. It was rather interesting seeing all the different vines of different ages, being able to enjoy some. The apéro - what better way to socialize is there!
