Very basic small room with big window having charming views . Room has sink, while the rest of the bathroom facility is shared. everything is very clean and tidy, as you would expect in a rich Swiss city. If you're on a budget, but still want your own room, its perfect.
Your ups on a hill. and can easily walk into the old part of town, or down to the lake.
There is a very generous , help yourself, breakfast included.

things started badly courtesy of Google who sent me in the wrong direction. After asking two people I arrived at the hotel To be met by a long steep stairs to the entrance. Once inside I felt strangely at home as I was told later it is an old army Barracks  Once booked in and collected my free transport ticket for the busses and trackless system, I set off to find my room. Fun of the day was to find out how the Lift worked. Pressing the correct floor button I stepped out to be confronted by 3 doors all of which had Private on them and were locked. Stepping back into the lift I spotted a second set of buttons and pressed the floor number and immediately the door opened in the rear of the lift onto a long corridor. finding my room at the end of the corridor I then set off to find the ablutions. this was back by the lift. and a Long walk in the middle of the night when nature calls..

The next morning I ascended for breakfast To be met by the woman in charge who looked like she needed some happy pills. Breakfast was good and filling 

Would I stay here again? Yes it offered every thing I needed and there are restaurants and bars close  by despite the staff telling me there wasn't

An old barracks

I have stayed in a single room. The location is good, not far from town centre- I had walked everywhere. The room was spotlessly clean, so were the shared showers. The bed was small but comfortable, there was a table and a chair too. Would be nice to have a small tv in the room but then I guess for the price (which is fantastic for Lucerne) it is ok not to have one. The rooms are very basic which can make you feel a bit lonely when you are on your own but then again you don't come to Switzerland to sit in your room :) There is a little bar downstairs where you can buy some snacks or drinks. They have also let me use the fridge to store some cheese which was nice. If I visited Lucerne again I would not hesitate to choose this place again.

Amazing for a couple of nights.

Simple and comfortable room, free parking outside is a huge plus. 
At the reception we received a free bus pass for two of us for the whole duration of our stay, which was very nice. You can walk to city centre, it takes about 8min.

Basic room, but you've got all you need

I booked this accommodation for 7 nights in October in a single room with shared bathroom. The cleanliness of the room and, above all, the bathrooms was impeccable. A very quiet place. It is close to the center, and, in addition, they give you a free pass for public transport that is very useful. The room is small but well equipped and modern furnished. Inside the room there is a bathroom with a bathroom. There is no breakfast or toiletries. Some rooms have a spectacular view. Nearby there is a bar and supermarket. It is an affordable option for the high prices of Switzerland. Personal treatment is very good and they strive to communicate. It is highly recommended, but if you need to meet people, it is not the right place.

Ideal if you want to be calm.

Every time I travel to Switzerland, I get tired of the sky high prices for a hotel room, especially in the heavily visited tourist cities.  I stayed in Lucerne for a night so I could make an early flight out of ZRH. I found Seminarhaus Bruchmatt and its good reviews and relatively affordable price too irresistible to not to try it out for a night.  First of all, this hotel is in a beautiful residential neighborhood of Lucern, it was only a 15 minute walk from the bahnhof or a short 10 minute bus ride on line #10.  I was checked in efficiently by a very nice lady, took a lift up to my room (a single with shared toilet and shower). The room was spotless, clean and bright, facing Lucern. Lighting was good.  There were 2 toilets and 3 showers available to those who shared facilities.  The price cannot be beat (74 Sfr for my room) in a very pricey city.  I would definitely stay at this place again.  Breakfast was additional, but since I had to catch an early train, I did not have breakfast here. I found a very nice restaurant a 10 minute walk away for dinner. This hotel is definitely not the ritz but it is clean, comfortable, friendly, in a great neighborhood, has free wifi, but has no tv. I highly recommend this hotel for those who seek out good value.

What a pleasant surprise this hotel was

The hotel is located on a hill not far from the city centre, the staff are friendly, the room is very simple but very clean, and the noise of the hallway can be heard from the room (for example, when the other guests come home in the evening...).

Well placed, very simple equipment

This property has interesting aspects for a tourist who does not want to spend too much to sleep; appreciates silence; likes free parking for his car; wants a perfectly clean place and since he pays anyway would like to be welcomed.

Benefiting from a quiet situation on the outskirts of the city, I was unfortunately awakened at 8am by the very noisy service personnel who were chatting among themselves in the hallway.

But then we had a room next to the common toilets and bathrooms and had noise until late and early in the morning.
