Seeing all the mixed reviews on here I was prepared for the worst, especially since we were staying during the Sports Vacation period for Swiss schools, which is probably the busiest time of the year. On one of the days, the weather was so bad all the local ski schools had to cancel, so the hotel was busy.

Even with all that (busiest time of year, bad weather, ski school cancelled), I didn't find to hotel or the facilities to be overly crowded. Sure, it was busy, but between the pool, playrooms, sports area, I didn't find to to be a problem. Everyone was spread out. And despite all this, the hotel staff did an amazing job, and were always friendly. 

I will say however, it is very important to make reservations for specific activities and the restaurants at least a day before, especially the spa and restaurants. Everything can be done online, so it's easy to do. 

We stayed in a "Family Room Comfort." It was smaller than we expected, but the layout was very well done. The staff provided all the extras for the baby we needed like bottle warmer, crib, baby bath, high chair, etc. You can also ask for baby food at the restaurants (which is called "Babybrei" in Swiss German I learned.) All this was a huge help traveling with a 1yo!  

My 5 yo raved about this place and can't wait to go back. The childcare facilities were great to give my wife and I a break. If you are looking for somewhere to go with kids, absolutely check this place out.

Amazing Stay for Families.

Room was big and modern with free baby accessories like a cot, pram, change mat and nappy bin, taking the stress out of travelling with kids. 
The kid's Happy Club was included in the room price which gave us a chance to use the facilities and put our daughter in to childminding with fun activities during the day. 
The breakfast was generous and really good, with plenty of variety. 
The location is spectacular. We were able to get out and hike directly from the hotel around Morschach and see amazing views of the alps and lake. We woke up to snow on Christmas Day enabling us to catch the chairlift up to Stoos easily for a look around (via a free hotel shuttle bus) and play in the snow! 
The hotel restaurants offered good food at reasonable prices. 
The pool, gym and sports facilities are exceptionally good, very spacious and and made it easy to relax on site with kids and have fun.
It was easy to catch a train to Brunnen and get a bus straight up to the Swiss Hotel, enabling us to not even worry about taking a car. Such a convenient spot! Highly recommend for families.

Sensational holiday location and hotel for families, take the stress out of travelling.

Our 2nd visit in a year, if only because we have no places available outside Switzerland to "relax" and dare I suggest, "enjoy" in the current environment. Still, as is always the case, it is wonderful to go to a Swiss German resort, as one's expectations about cleanliness, "keeping-to-the-promise" and almost scrupulous helpfulness is never ever disappointing.
Yet, the best aspect of going there, and "being" there for a whole week are the many "providential" gifts that one takes for granted: quiet, clean rooms, beautiful, scenic views, and to people like me, room for so many walks in the wilderness, that I could never "repeat" in my lifetime!

We came in mid January through an Interval International getaway.We arrived a few minutes after the reception had closed but the receptionist (Angela) who was just leaving was very helpful and took us right to our apartment.The apartment was big for a one bed and we were very impressed with the lovely conservatory type balcony.The views were fabulous and it was lovely sitting there in the sun.The reception staff were helpful and friendly and the little ‘party” event on the Tuesday was a nice touch.We didn’t use any of the onsite restaurants so can’t comment on them.We did use the shop a few times .It was expensive in comparison to Aldi or coop but that is usually the case with onsite shops.We did go to The pizzeria on the main road and it was lovely We have been members of Interval International for over 30 years and have been to many resorts in Europe,USA and Africa.Whilst this was not the best I have been in it was certainly very good value and very acceptable for a-weeks visit.The one negative comment I have is the very small size of the kitchen and the lack of work surface and the lack of a microwave.However there was an oven which many resorts don’t have so that probably makes up for the lack of a microwave. In conclusion we enjoyed our week here.The situation and scenery is beautiful,the staff are pleasant and there are free activities like a pool, hot tub etc.and the apartment  has a number oh positives.

Winter week holiday

we stayed at the apartments, they are big sizes to consider ypu are in europe, they need more deep cleaning before check in, the curtains have stains and dead flies, found hairs in the shower, the inventory for the kitxhen is not as marked in their report. the baby stuff we got was super dirty and moldy, even some were broken. Beside that we loved the places, the view is amazing, lots of activities for the kids (some very expensive). we could return but next time will try the hotel.

Good resort for the family

We stayed in the Apart Holidays section of the Swiss Holiday Park.  It is a very nice place with many facilities.  Very quiet in the evenings and the views of the Alps surrounding the area is amazing.  Coming from the US, it was nice not be surrounded by US tourist.  Actually, no one we came across in the Morshach and Brunnen area were from the US; however, most people spoke good English.  It's location made it a good base to do day trips, which we did a lot of (especially with the great Swiss public transportation).

Nice place to feel like you're truly in Switzerland

We had a group of 30-plus US high school students who stayed at the Swiss Holiday Park in July. Here are my observations:
Pros:
* Morschach is an absolutely beautiful setting, with inspiring panoramas as you walk out the front door
* The town itself is quite small, but very charming, you can walk anywhere
* The setting is idyllic and peaceful
* The staff are very good, particularly the restaurant staff, who even if they didn't speak much English, were warm and accommodating
* The breakfast, in my mind, was one of the best of all our hotels in Switzerland, very complete with about every option imaginable
* We ate dinner there - a pizza night - and it was very good, as was the salad that came first
* It's fairly easy to navigate the area, as it's laid out simply and fairly clearly
* It's an easy drive down to Brunnen and also only an hour's drive from the ZRH Kloten airport in Zurich
* It's an quick walk down to Lake Lucerne, which some of our students did, and went swimming in the lake - however the walk back up is strenuous
* We worked primarily with Jessy in booking our group's stay and she was very helpful
* The front desk staff pretty much all spoke English, which helped us as our Swiss German wasn't very good
* The sound of cow bells clanging and church bells ringing made for a relaxing atmosphere
* The conference room area was very nice and one of our best meeting room spaces in all of our cities we visited
* While I didn't go, we got great feedback from our students and staff about the pool and fitness center

Cons:
* We didn't realize there are two parts to the hotel, the main hotel and then terrace rooms
* If we went back, we would request rooms in the hotel section, we did have one room in the main section, but all the rest were in the other section
* It caught us by surprise that in the terrace rooms, where most of us stayed, the beds were essentially side-by-side, and that caused some initial challenges for us
* We had to talk with our group upon arrival and said things like "it's different here in Europe" "just accept that the beds are right next to each other" and "experience a different situation than you're used to"
* Where the terrace rooms are located are in a weird place relative to the hotel lobby, as you either had to walk through an underground parking structure or way around to one side
* The rooms we stayed in were odd - it seemed like all our rooms were on the ground level and the upper rooms were basically apartments, or at least longer term rental units
* There was no AC in those rooms, which normally probably wouldn't have been a problem, except it was quite warm and in the rooms we were in, there were no windows, only a door that opened to the outside, at ground level - which we didn't want to leave open at night!
* I got the impression that this is very much a family-friendly resort, geared to visitors from other Western European countries, not necessarily a destination for US travelers
* The cost per room was the highest - surprisingly - out of four cities we stayed in during our Swiss visits and those were: Zurich; Wengen; and Lausanne
* I love farms and agriculture, but if you're not a fan of cows (and their smell) you may not be too excited sometime while you stay there :)

All in all, I'd have to think hard before returning to Swiss Holiday Park. It seems like a property that at one time did much better than currently, and perhaps they're trying to reinvent themselves. The hotel awards they had displayed were from several years ago. However, they do have a current award on TA, so that was one of the reasons I had a high degree of confidence in booking with them. Also, it was mid-July and we were there on a weekend, and it just didn't seem that busy. But that could just be me.

Do your research before booking. It's definitely not as "touristy" as Brunnen, which actually was nice. And, it only took a couple minutes to drive down the hill from Morschach. I wish I'd gotten the name of the waitress at breakfast who helped us - even though she didn't speak English, she 'got' customer service and it was a treat to greet her in the mornings!

Group stay in July

We stayed in the hotel section.  Good size clean and well-appointed rooms. The pools area was terrific for our grand-daughter and fun for us, and we enjoyed a trip up the cable car to Stoos, a great spot for mountain views and plenty of places to eat. The Holiday Park also has good playgrounds for all ages and a range of other activities, though these are at a price.  My only criticism of the hotel is that the front rooms (even numbers, around 110-120 and the same on other floors) are immediately above the outside sitting area so noisy till quite late.  Food in the Panorama Restaurant is another matter, but I have reviewed that separately.

Good place for a family get-together

What we booked: 3 night family package deal in a family apartment (aka family-sized hotel room) including breakfast, all you can eat buffet for our child, entrance to indoor water park and sauna area, usage of sport facilities eg. (kid) bowling, Minigolf, Badminton, etc. 

Hotel room: reading other reviews I realized that many people confused the so called “family apartment” of the hotel and the actual “apartments” that are located nearby the hotel building and are actual apartments with facilities that one’s own flat has. To avoid disappointments I’d definitely rename the “family apartments” as they are actual hotel rooms with an extra sleeping cabin for children and extra seating space. They offer what every hotel room does; daily room cleaning, fresh towels, bed linen, etc. while the regular apartments are just likes the ones of Center Parcs or Roompot: no room cleaning, bed linen needs to be arranged by yourself, take your own towel, ... 
We decided to book the “family apartment” and not a regular hotel room not only because it was more comfortable for our son to have his own separated sleeping cabin but also because they’re fully renovated. The interior is modern, especially the bathroom looks great with such shower system I haven’t seen before. The balcony is spacious and upon request they provide you baby equipment free of charge. (Buggy, changing table, diaper trash can, baby tub, etc.). I especially liked the extra touch like the shower glove shaped as the resort’s mascot, a rubber ducky, a bottle of water. I also found it very appealing that not only the adults got bath robes and slippers but also our toddler had his own in kid-size. 

Food: the Italian restaurant was closed for deep cleaning but we could sit in Restaurant Panorama and eat from the Italian restaurant’s menu card. One evening we also tried the offers of Panorama and both times we were baffled by the horribly long waiting times. Even when we ordered a simple pizza and pasta dish it took more than an our for them to serve us. Such a resorts where loads of families go with small kids can especially not afford making the guests wait so long. The food quality was average and prices were high. (For example the gnocchi with blue cheese sauce was sadly missing the blue cheese...) I really don’t know how they ended up in the Michelin guide. 
The breakfast buffet however was really great, one of the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever encountered. Rich selection, local products, and fresh bread. 
The all you can eat children buffet was a little bit of a disappointment. Children up to 15 years of age are allowed to make use of it but I don’t think it offers enough and is appealing for a teenager. The breakfast is kind of nice but lunch and dinner weren’t always fresh and the selection was very limited. I think either do it, but then good, or don’t do it as it can disappoint guests. The idea is, tho, very nice and with a bit of improvement it can absolutely add to the experience.

Water world: very clean, very neat. Two pools for little children with several mini slides and two adult slides of which children can also make use of (with parental guidance). The big pool that has both in,- and outdoor sections was also good however a little bit boring, especially inside. Loved the steam bath accessible directly from the pool area and also the separate sauna world had nice offers. Friendly touch with free drinking water and fresh apples. 

Activities: tried mini golf and kid bowling, wished to try actual bowling but well... living with a toddler :) I have to unfortunately comment on an employee in the Fun Factory who was very friendly, however also possibly in love or so, because his mind was constantly elsewhere. Both times we played kid bowling he forgot to switch it on and when we attended the movie evening for families he only showed up to start the program after my husband went to look for him. First he put in a different family movie from what was advertised then he realized 10 mins into the movie and came in to ask whether we wanted the one planned for the day. The guests all agreed to change the movies when he put in a horror movie (mark my words: there were like 10 toddlers in the room with parents) and after staring at the menu for a couple of minutes (blood and all showing neatly on the cinema screen :D) he unsurely asked if this was actually the movie of the day... roughly 15 minutes after this horror show - couldn’t switch the projector back after switching it off for whatever reason - we could finally start Zoomania. He was highly highly highly incompetent but we needed to laugh anyways. 
The indoor playground with a mini slide, a wooden train track, table football, movie corner etc was the favorite of our son and was a location where we could rest a bit while he was calmly playing. 

Daycare: we tried to put our son into the daycare facility and informed the lady there that this would be his first time alone without us. She assured us that she’d call if anything goes wrong which she did in less than 6 minutes after we were gone. I can’t blame her or the other caretaker for our son crying, he just simply missed mama, but upon our arrival he was just wandering around the play area, sobbing and calling for me, while none of the ladies showed any compassion or at all talked to him. After that we tried to approach the group during lunch time but we didn’t really feel welcome. 

Other: to our surprise we were charged a quite high parking fee which we thought would be included in the booking price. 
The resort has its own supermarket with a reasonable selection and normal prices compared to regular Swiss supermarkets. 
We selected dates outside of holiday times and starting from Monday so there was no crowd, providing a chilled atmosphere and great chance to try out whatever we wanted without needing to stand in line. 

All in all, pleasant experience and will consider returning here or to another Familotel facility. 



Lots of fun in a picturesque environment 

We stayed for two nights at the hotel with my kids and sister to have a nice short Holiday,but it didnt met our expectations in this hotel. The price is too expensive for what you will recieve. Hotel room is too old and looks dirty😬 even they cleaned it. Toms happy club which is an indoor playroom is too dirty, and toys are already broken😬 Food at the Restaurant can't recommend also. Pool area need also renovation.
